Because it boots from a solid-state drive (SSD) rather than from a conventional hard drive, it fires up Windows10 in seconds. If you are frustrated by a computer that takes forever to boot, and know from experience how even (initially) fast computers with conventional hard drives start to slow over time, buy this computer. Its basic hardware is strong: it's got a fast i5 processor and tons of RAM. The SSD is what sets it apart.I honestly don't understand the economics of it--I mean how much firepower this computer has while also coming with a Windows license and an SSD. The configuration makes simultaneous use of multiple Office programs seamless. The computer happens to come with a 32-bit version of Office 2016 pre-installed. I was pleased to discover that, simply by entering my email credentials from my employer (an educational institution), I was entitled to a license for the entire Office 2016 suite. Not everyone will enjoy such a benefit of course, but perhaps you will if you work for a school or company that runs Office.The "Microsoft-certified refurbisher" who sold me this machine (Skytech) definitely knows what it is doing. Computer came well-packaged, clean, and with a new mouse and keyboard. Excellent experience and top-quality product. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars No SSD was included; Old Hard Drive from 2012 instead *by U***X on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2020* Unfortunately, it's way too late to do anything about my issue, but this computer didn't actually come with a 240GB SSD. Instead, it came with a 2TB Desktop (3.5") Hard Drive from 2012, and the "2" at the end of that number is crossed out in permanent marker! How do I know this? The drive failed and had to be replaced WITH AN ACTUAL SSD. Also, the version of windows that was installed on this machine WAS NEVER ACTIVATED AND WAS NOT GENUINE. For the regular person who doesn't know how to mitigate these issues: BEWARE. These people are throwing together old components and calling their products "refurbished", without being transparent about what's going into them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for the cost *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2019* The cold boot to login time is about 40 seconds with the SSD drive. Wake-from-sleep about 10 seconds. For ordinary usage (browsing, office apps), the responsiveness is great. I tend to open a lot of tabs (20+) in Chrome, and even so the performance is fast and responsive across all tabs.
