A: Yes, you can. You can use the arm to practice IVs, phlebotomy and injection techniques. For IVs make sure both inflow and outflow clips on the veins are open so that there is a continuous flow of fluid / "blood".

**Q: How many sticks can the venipuncture arm take before leaking?**
A: It can handle hundreds of sticks (depending on the gauge needle used – we recommend 21/22/23G)

Bought this phlebotomy practice arm for my niece so she could stop “practicing” on family members. It’s surprisingly realistic. The veins give that little pop when the needle goes in, and the included training videos were actually helpful. She built up confidence fast, and I didn’t end up covered in bruises, so that’s a win.
