As a former pastry chef and sommelier, and current autistic, I am..... particular..... about flavor and texture. It mixes well, even in a small amount of liquid. I regularly make a smoothie with 2 scoops of powder and 4oz of milk and 2oz each of yogurt and ice, and it doesn't clog up my glass straw. No weird textures or aftertastes. Yes, the bag doesn't reseal well, but I dump it into an airtight 12 cup Rubbermaid container that sits on my counter. Perfect fit. Problem solved. For the record, I've tried the chocolate as well, and the flavor is good, but the cocoa solids give the texture what I can only describe as a tannic (drying) quality. I like that it's not too sweet, but it's better for protein baking than in daily smoothies. I feel like the price is on par with other isolates, and for the quality, I will continue to buy the vanilla the rest of my life.

Although it pains me to spend $70 on protein powder when I used to get giant containers of it for 20 bucks, I got tired of putting junk in my body haha. This stuff is incredibly clean, with simple ingredients that don’t cause me any bloating or stomach issues. The consistency is a bit thin, but I mix it into smoothies or add some powdered peanut butter and it’s perfect. You can also just use less water/milk and it’ll be thicker. I like the vanilla because it adds a lot of flavor to smoothies, and I’ve also had the strawberry which is good too, but I don’t enjoy it as much on its own. Overall my focus for protein powder is on high quality, clean ingredients and Promix delivers there. My only con is that for some reason my most recent package doesn’t re-seal at all. For the price, this needs to be fixed asap.
