That alone made it stand out to me, and I was genuinely curious to try it. The device itself left a positive first impression, and I liked the idea of having a color e-reader instead of the usual black-and-white one.That said, after using it, I realized that I personally still prefer a regular monochrome e-reader for most reading. The color was nice to have in theory, but in practice I felt that it was not enough to make a big difference for me. Maybe I just got used to traditional e-ink, but since I do not read comics, I did not find a strong advantage in the color display for my own use.I have also ordered devices from other brands before, and my conclusion is the same: for comic books, I still feel that a normal tablet with an OLED screen is the better option. It gives a much more vivid and satisfying color experience, which matters a lot more for that type of content. Because of that, I would not recommend this technology as a great solution for comics.To be clear, this is not a criticism of the brand or the specific model itself. My opinion is about the color e-ink technology in general. It is an interesting concept and a nice step forward, but for my needs it does not fully replace either a traditional e-reader or a tablet ### ⭐ Defective screen *by on Reviewed in the United States March 24, 2026* Screen was defective - came with a vertical line through it. Had to return it. Played with it for a bit before I did and it’s still not for me. There’s just so much ghosting. Font isn’t as crisp as on my kindle. And then kindle app is pretty buggy.
