The clock mechanism in the old Intermatic had finally broken down and wasn't turning the pump on/off. I found a good video on wiring the Suraielec on YouTube and between that and the printed instructions, I didn't have any trouble getting the connections right the first time. I was also pleased to see that the timer is close enough to the old Intermatic in size that I didn't have to relocate any of the wiring conduits leading to or from the timer (bonus !!). Programming was no problem. Just follow the instructions. The first thing I noticed is NO NOISE !! The old Intermatic was mounted on the side of the house and I had never realized how it created a buzzing noise in both rooms on that side of the house. The new Suraielect is totally silent, accurate to the minute week after week, and hasn't missed an on/off event since I installed it. Could not be happier with the results. Quiet, accurate, dependable, and a great value.
