The bowl is quite large and so I have been using about five drops of fountec each week and it has worked very well. The other fountain is in a conservatory and uses a significantly smaller amount of water and is shielded a bit by roof shades. Since using Fountec it fares better than previously. However, after a few weeks there was evidence of some algae beginning to get a hold.
