One star less due to the User Manual written in poor English and wrongly stating the use of AAA cells, when actually AA cells are required and in fact supplied. The manual fails on another count, in that it seems for (another model?) a tachometer which has provision for contact measurements too, in fact the carrying case has spaces for various spindles but which are not supplied. The product description does not mention this feature and hence I am OK with that. It is not getting on after inserting batteries and pressing any button. How to proceed???** A: After you insert the batteries correctly, you have to press the switch on the side. The display should show 0 RPM. A laser beam will also emit from the front sensor or nozzle. If it is not showing any display means it is not getting powered up, so test batteries on a multimeter or replace with fresh batteries. If you are still not getting any beam coming out then contact seller or send back for repairs. **Q: Is it measure bike rpm too** A: Yes you can measure bike rpm as well for that you will have to stick reflection tape on wheel. But be aware that the rpm meter shows engine rpm and wheel rpm are very less in comparison to engine. In between engine and wheel there are gears. **Q: How is maximum distance between white strip and lesar tachometer, means how far is the distance of this techometer.🙂** A: I have tested it from a distance of about 1 meter. Some times I even did that at angle of 10-20 degree away from perpendicular but teh results were all very good repeatable and accurate.
