The belt is suited for on or off duty use, the PROPPER Nylon Duty Belt is designed to provide utility in any environment. The molded belt buckle allows for easy adjustments yet holds tight when loaded down. Heavy duty 1.5 inch wide nylon can withstand constant and long term use. I got a 32-34 waist belt and I am 33 waist and it fits perfectly on my pants or summer shorts. Belt is sturdy but there are definitely sturdier belts (that cost more). I use it to hold my holster for my PPQ or GLOCK 23 and it works great and keeps it up on my belt with ease.
