Good book. Lots of exotic animals to show toddlers.

one of eric carle's masterpieces! a must read for all, big and small!!

I would say 3 star for kids,The illustrations are awesome as always are in Eric's books, but the book has poems for each animal and no information about the animal.The poems are from well knowns such authors, but i have nothing to tell my son except showing him the pictures when I take this book out.I would say a No for kids.

This book has become a favorite in our household. My son LOVES the animals and the poems. We enjoy reading it every night and of course the pictures are amazing. But I love that there aren’t your typical animals you’d find in children’s books. It really does open them up to other animals.

Beautiful book!

I purchased this for my 5 yo son who loves poems.Our family are huge fans of Eric Carle’s art and stories and this book did not disappoint. The illustrations are simply stunning.The poems range from famous poets to global proverbs and Native American and Aboriginal tales.

とにかく絵が楽しい。英語の教材用に使えるかな、と思って購入しましたが、この絵を見ながら、色使いや形や迫力を味わうほうが楽しそうです。　教材として使うとしたら、i,q,u,v,x,zで始まる動物以外は、すべてのアルファベットで始まる動物が描かれていますので、文字との関連から使えるかもしれません。鳴き声が文字になったページもあるので、それも使えるかな。　添えてある世界中からあつめた詩（俳句の英訳もある）は、英詩のわからない私には難しいけれど、学びたい人には楽しいものかも。
