I highly recommend this screen protector. ### ⭐ Abrasive…will wear down your expensive Apple Pencil Pro tip! *by S***L on February 23, 2026* I was looking for a matte screen protector for recording iPad instructional videos, and initially this was a good option. It was easy to install (although the cleaning wipe didn’t clean the screen…I had to use another cleaner). It’s definitely matte, but it’s incredibly rough. I’ve been using it for about two weeks, and my Pencil Pro tip is toast. The problem is that as you’re writing, it’s wearing it down in a flat, conical shape that doesn’t make good contact with the screen, and eventually, I couldn’t write at all. I would have to hold the pencil in weird ways to get it to write correctly, and it obscures the camera’s view of the tip. I understand that you can buy replacement tips (it might have actually come with one?) but if I’ve worn it down this much in two weeks, I’m afraid that I’m going to be going through a tip a month. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this. And although “paper-like” sounds awesome, I didn’t realize that it would degrade the Apple Pencil Pro tip. And now I’m afraid to try any “paper-like” screen protector. I’ve purchased another one that should be here Thursday. Update: I did receive another brand, “Mothca,” and it is a matte screen protector that does not wear down my Apple Pencil. I have installed that screen protector on all three of my iPads and my iPhone.
