In any case the batteries are standard flying saucer types (dunno the actual name and I’m not at home so I can’t check for ya) but they shouldn’t cost more than a few bucks I gather. They’re the ones used today with many remote control devices I believe. Anyhow sorry I couldn’t answer yer question directly but hope that this helped somehow in shedding some light on the issue!
