Unwieldy, but worth it.
I don’t have a lot of money to spend on specialized lenses, so I was happy to find this option in my price range. I will admit that need to work more with this lens. The length requires a tripod, but I was euphorically happy when I took a picture of a direction sigh, sans tripod, a half a mile from my porch and could actually read it. The need for a t-mount takes away from the stabilization, particularly if there’s no tripod, and the enhancer only made that worse. But, with all of the right equipment, this is a fantastic lens to take to the wildlife refuge to shoot some of the shyer birds.

Great hobby telephoto superzoom lens.
For under a hundred dollars this lens did phenomenally well on my Canon 7d! It's very well built and sturdy.Don't expect to use it for professional photography though as the images are very soft and there is a ton of color fringing (pink/green) at any zoom range.Fun lens to shoot objects at a distance. The zoom is insane. At 1600mm the moon didn't even fit fully in the frame (aps-c sensor).

Nice to have zoom
Manual zoom and focus, takes a little bit of getting use to. Takes nice pics. Zooms really far. Really nice for the moon and distant wildlife, ect.

Great lens
I received the Opteka brand of this lens. I am surprised at the image detail and how sharp this lens is. I took this photo of the moon and was surprise at how it turned out. At 1600mm, you can see the craters and features of the moon. I would really recommend this lens.
