This is a good starter RC car for 6year son.It has kept him occupied with it daily for several days already. All he wants to do when I get home from work anymore is play with this (and a few other) RC cars (not that I mind). It isn't too fast for him either, and works better than some other similarly priced RC cars. Comparatively it has a better build quality, 4 wheel steering, and suspension that actually kinda works.

The cars are pretty fast and responsive. Each car has a rechargeable battery and charger. They run well on hard flooring as well and loop pile carpet. The run time is also very good ( 20-40 min). The durability is questionable however. Had 1 car that seemed like a wire got loose and it ran very slowly. The replacement car sent was defective in that the driver would not stay attached to the car. A second replacement car is in route. Another car seems like the gearing is slipping and will vary between normal and very slow speed. A replacement for that car is also in route. I will say that the customer service has been EXCELLENT and a true surprise in this day and age! The cars are still under the 90 day warranty so not sure what will happen if there is a problem after that. Customer service seems to have true commitment in trying to make any issue right. Replacement shipping was also very fast! Hopefully there will be no other issues but may want to purchase an Asurion Protection Plan just in case.

Love it. Used for a company function battery charges faster with a quick charge base. Will be fully charged in about 20 min. Easy to control, able to roll over rock and branches with ease.

My 10yo loves this remote control car. His favorite features are the 4-wheel drive and ability to go off-road. We’ve had it for several months now and it’s handled the rough and tough play of a dozen neighborhood boys!

I bought this for my 11 year old nephew. I took it out of the box and "made sure it worked well" before gift wrapping this for him. I almost kept it for myself because I was having so much fun with it.The 4x4 works well and the steering works left and right in reverse.The only criticism I have is the battery only last 15-20 minutes and the it takes 4-6 hours to recharge and you have to remove the battery to charge it.Overall I think it a decent toy for the price

I bought this for my six year old grandson. His four year old brother is able to use the bumper cars with him. They are so fun, the adults were waiting for turns. Everything worked as expected. We were on wood and vinyl floors.

The order arrived on time as expected. Batteries were included, but one set was corroded, thankfully I had some spares on hand. It took a bit of 'work' for the older kids (age 15 and 18) to get the cars set up and running, but once that was completed it was a lot of fun for the 4 year old (Under supervision) and the older kids. The toy cant be played with very long before the batteries need recharging again so that's a minus and it was not easy to get to the batteries to recharge. But it IS a fun toy and very cool that there are two cars so there is some interaction with friends and siblings.

Now that I have used this remote control vehicle I am willing to give it a "4" rating. I was looking for a large RC vehicle to use outdoors that was powerful enough to drive uphill on a grass surface and this vehicle has passed that test. The 4WD and high suspension of the body help it maneuver through a grassy yard. It is a little slower than I would like but you can't have everything. I suspect a smaller vehicle might be faster on a smooth surface but would get stuck driving on a grassy surface, especially going uphill. Thus far it seems I can be a good distance away from the vehicle and still control it.I read many Amazon reviews and ratings before I chose my vehicle to purchase. When I first received the RC vehicle I was very disappointed and ready to return it to Amazon with a "0" rating. I was unable to remove the battery cover, thus the vehicle was useless. The written instructions were lacking in details. I kept trying to remove the tiny screw holding the battery cover on the vehicle in place. Then I had the exact same problem trying to remove the tiny screw holding the battery cover on the transmitter. I had resigned myself that I would have to figure out how to return the toy to Amazon before I decided there must be a way to remove the battery cover without fully removing the screws. Thankfully I figured out what needed to be done (no thanks to the written instructions). The tiny screw did not need to be fully removed to remove the battery cover - a good thing since the screw was so tiny it would get lost easily. Connecting and disconnecting the battery pack to the vehicle wasn't easy because the connector was so very tiny.Another defect with the brief written instructions - the instructions explain how to install the antenna on the transmitter. Either my product was shipped incompletely without the antenna or there isn't supposed to be an antenna that goes on the transmitter. If the latter is true then the written instructions are defective. Likewise with the written instructions to "set the band selectors on the transmitter and the chassis to be the same position" when there are no band selectors.I guess in reading my review I am being charitable in rating this product a "4".
