Two possible triggers
I am not usually a fan of love triangle books, but this book had more to it than just the love story. Alyssa is an actress who almost lost her life to an eating disorder. Her fiancΓ© Ryan has been there for her since they were younger, but now he is controlling and manipulative. Luke is a co-worker of Ryanβs and there is an instant attraction. There were times that I was fed up with her actions and there were others that I felt bad for her. Ryan, in my opinion, is not a nice person. Luke is almost too good to be real. I can see more issues coming to Alyssa, some brought on be herself, but I want to see how this ends. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Expected more action
Alyssa accepts the dry proposal from her boyfriend. She should be happyβ¦right? So then why was she fantasizing about her fiancΓ©βs hot law partner?Ryan may be an arrogant workaholic, but he has always been there for Alyssa and always took care of her. Even when Alyssa was going through her treatment for her eating disorder, Ryan was always strict about her recovery, and that was okay because he always knew what was best for her. What would it hurt if she wanted to get back into acting? Can she continue letting him hold her back? Then there was Luke, who she can actually talk to and be herself around.βDonβt picture him nakedβ is what she kept telling herself.Alyssa lusts after him and tries to ignore it for most of the story. Itβs more about a woman wondering whether or not she can cope on her own. She ponders, she doubts, she questions about it all. The thing with Luke is all talk and no action. How very tame. Her story was interesting, but I expected more action. Cβmon, this was supposed to be a love triangle.

Come Undone by Crystral Kaswell reviewed by k1terriw
Come Undone was a romance that involves a love triangle and cheating (sort of) and a HEA in the end. The story is about Alyssa and her relationship with Ryan and Luke. Despite the love triangle, the story dealt with Allyssaβs life-threatening eating disorder and being in aco-dependent relationship that took her a while to realize wasnβt real love. She found herself engaged to a man who did not demonstrate love or passion. She found passion with Luke, a colleague of her financeβ. Crystal Kaswell was able to weave a story around the sensitive topic of an eating disorder and co-dependency that go with unhealthy relationships that delves into the emotions that are raw and real. Crystal Kaswell is a master storyteller that doesnβt shy away from difficult topics.

Trying to find strength
This story gets a bit emotionally rough in places with the eating disorder and the way Alyssaβs fiancΓ© Ryan acts about it. Ryan leaves much to be desired in the relationship department. When she meets his law firm partner Luke, there is instant chemistry. Luke does act pretty shady, no question. Ryan is a controlling jerk and starts shady stuff toward the end. Alyssa is just lost. At least she and Luke Luke each other. I wish there was more story of the aftermath at the end. The ending felt abrupt to me.

My Thoughts on Come Undone
This is part one of a new trilogy by Crystal Kaswell. In this story Alyssa is newly engaged to Ryan but realizes something has been off about their relationship for a while. When she meets Luke she starts to feel again, something she hasn't done in a long time. But Luke should be forbidden to her. And she has to figure out her own wants and needs before her world implodes.Overall I enjoyed this book. Luke was definitely my favorite of Alyssa's two options and I think it's pretty clear to see why shortly after the story begins. Alyssa's struggle was understandable with what she's been through, but Ryan was definitely not a likable guy during this story despite what he may have been in the past.I am intrigued to see what's to come for this triangle in book two.

Messy but worth it
This book is different, for Kaswell, and it works! It's messy and frustrating, and the chemistry flaring, and there are times of growing and backsliding and where you breathe out in the finally, but then there's still the I need more. The only thing I slightly wasn't sold on at times was our heroine. I think her vulnerability could sometimes be perceived as weak, and a bit you need to be shaken, not stirred.Overall, Iβve enjoyed this series, and recommend especially if you're looking for something especially emotional with roller-coaster push-pull.I asked for and received arc copies of the entire series and chose to read them all before reviewing them. This is my honest opinion and not influenced in any way. I do recommend reading when you're able to read the trilogy together - it enhances the experience.

Almost Come Undone...
How Alyssa would not stand up for herself. There were many times I wanted to shake Alyssa. I liked Luke. He was funny, caring, passionate, hot, had tattoos and a law degree as well as loving movies, books, and earl grey tea. Total package. Ryan on other hand was not desirable at all. He used Alyssa and then did all he could to keep her under his thumb using her issues against her. He did nothing to boost her up but all he could to bring her down. I would rather be alone and happy than with someone and miserable. It literally took the whole book for Alyssa to stick up for herself. But she finally did. Good book. Would recommend.

Wish there was a 4&1/2 Stars
I really liked this book, but wasnβt in to it as the last one I read of C.K.βs. It was about love and eating disorders and manipulating men. Also, a separation and new love and great sex, plus some good banter. Not sure if I will keep reading this series.

I Discovered I'm Not A Fan Of 'Love Triangles'!!πππ₯π₯ A Generous 3 Stars π
Come Undone: A Love TriangleAlyssa is an up & coming Actress. She's taken nearly a year off of work to deal with her Eating Disorder, which came close to claiming her life.ππ’ Her Fiance Ryan Knight, who has supported her throughout all of her ups & downs since her teenage years, has changed. He's gone from being supportive, caring & very present in their relationship to cold, manipulative & a distant workaholic!!ππ Things come to a head just after she accept's his proposal but is then sent a request to audition for the Lead in a new TV Show.Alyssa meets Luke on the night of their Engagement. They leave the restaurant & on the way home he receives a call regarding work. Instead of putting work off he goes into work, she decides to stay with him. This is where she meets his Law Practice Partner Luke Lawrence for the first time. They're obviously physically attracted to each other.π₯ Luke clearly doesn't like how Ryan speaks to her or treats her like a trophy or a silly child!!π‘This whole storyline was creepy to me! The 'we were on a break', in this instance, didn't wash with me!!π³ Admittedly Ryan was completely wrong to pursue an engaged person in the first place but the way it was written you could see his point of view. Alyssa, I just felt sorry for. Ryan was obviously using coercive control with her. She'd already been relying on him as a support before her Bulimia was discovered, so him stepping in & taking control over getting her in a treatment facility then therapy as well as his control over all of her meals, I feel just nudged him into this behaviour earlier than it might have shown up otherwise!!π‘ Ryan isn't a nice, kind or even pleasant person, he treats Alyssa like he owns her & her thoughts and feelings!π± However, Alyssa was exceptionally weak willed, she jumped straight into bed with Luke, literally, after finally moving out, but she still refused to acknowledge all of Ryan's manipulations & control issues. The plot excuse for this was she was concerned she couldn't keep her Bulimia under control without his support & help :rolling my eyes HARD: The thing is she'd already taken steps to find other forms of support, this *really* annoyed me on her behalf!!π‘I won't continue with this series. I read the chapter at the back of this book & I can see more self sabotage in her future & I just can't read more of that!!πDebbie, 1970, UK

Love, struggles, manipulations
This story is filled with drama, passion, and romance. Alyssa struggle with eating disorder and as depended on Ryan for so long because she sees him as a loyal friend and lover but is he? I think is is a manipulates her to suit his own purpose, he doesn't really care about what she truly wants.Alyssa meets Luke and she sees the difference in how he treats her and it made her realise that Ryan had too much hold on her life. Luke has his own stuggles that he needs to work out before he can truly commit to Alyssa. They are great together and could be exactly what each other needs. I will read the other 2 books in the trilogy to see how they navigate through all their obstacles.
