Forbidden Games Raccoon Tycoon

We enjoy playing with just 2 players, all the way up to 5. It does not have the complexity to keep higher level gamers interested for more than a handful of plays, but is a great game to play with people who are not used to this style of game. It is easy to teach and has simple mechanisms but still requires a good amount of strategy to win. We have already ordered the "Fat Cat" expansion which appears to add the different layers of complexity that we desire for personal use, while still being able to play the base game with a group.

My husband and I aren't huge on board games but decided to try some out as we can be competitive and we prefer something with a challenge where you need to think before making moves and came across this. The instruction manual was a little daunting in the amount of information it gives but helps that YouTube has playthroughs! It all started to make sense very quickly once we started playing though, it turned out to be really fun! The starter token is a bit baffling in the purpose it serves, it's almost unnecessary except for the fact that it's pleasing to the eye so worth keeping just for that, the artwork is adorable with such finesse and the game is beautiful to look at on the table, an attractive addition to our humble game collection!

We love this game. Played with a larger group and it was so fun! Outbidding your loved ones, plotting against the other players. So much fun! Since we have played 5 to 6 times with every time being as fun. After the first 10 turns, you got this game. Easy to learn, takea a bit to set up, but so worth it!

I've played this game at a friend's place twice and love the game that I tried getting a copy for myself.I like to say I'm a heavy gamer, $50 for this game is a little on the steep end but it is a lot of fun. I do enjoy this unique stock management game.

Raccoon Tycoon is a fun commodities trading game with lovely, though rather themeless, art. This isn't a deep game. Heavy Euro-gamers and/or stock market players may be bored by this game. This is a light, fun game and nothing more. If you want a family/light economic game, then this is for you.

An awesome game with touches of Monopoly and Settlers of Catan combined with a stock market mechanic simple enough for young players to enjoy. It has a variety mechanics that add depth and enhance replayability without adding a lot of complexity. The artwork is adorable and the compoments are high quality (who would have expecred plastic Monopoly-ish money?)

A fun game of selling, buying, bidding, and strategy. Not too hard to learn, and the game moves pretty fast.

Raccoon Tycoon is now our family favorite. Great game for 2 or more players! Many strategies to get the win. Not knowing how the other players are trying to win is one of our favorite parts.
