I have to say I was enormously torn between a one-star and five-star review. I decided to give this book a legitimate five-star review because I see it as a supreme work of comedy.Over the years, I have purchased several copies of this book to give as gag gifts, a function to which it is supremely well suited. These little tid-bits are silly in the extreme, so much so that we have used it for comic readings out-loud at social gatherings. Even folks for whom sentimental and soulful writings are mana (and I'm one of them) often find this book hysterically funny in its hyperbole and exotically ornate language—a shockingly scathing parody of self-help writing.Take just a few of the titles in the book:"My Sense of Sight Connects Me to My World" (Well, yeah, isn't that what the senses do for us?)"I am the Flute for the Music of God's Love" (Meaning what, exactly? I'd frankly rather be the string bass)"My Creativity Funds the Creativity of All" (Just a little arrogant, don't you think?)"I am a True Note in the Symphony of LIfe" (see above)"I am the Dream of God Dreaming God." (myself, I'm the fantasy of Homer Simpson fantasizing Homer )"I am a Particle of God and an Article of Faith in Action" (whoa, Nelly. Me, I'm an adjective in the Divine Syntax)"I Voice the Universe in an Original Way (words abandon me here)Some of the passages within these little gemstones are equally amusing: "My active faith in the unique destiny of each of us blesses all I encounter with the gift of being truly, fully seen."or "The cosmic web is alive with greater and greater consciousness, larger and brighter possibility."And encourage you to read very carefully, so as to have the full impact when you come upon "the hot gift of soup", where the gift is hot, but the temperature of the soup is undetermined.

The background music is very relaxing and the commentary uplifting. I like that there is alternating male voice and then a female voice.There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. I listened when I went to bed and fell asleep promptly, which is unusual. I woke a couple of hours later and started it again. I'm very glad I purchased "Blessings" as it has already become a blessing in just one day.

I love this little book. Every morning I read several daily inspiring words for the day in different books. I found this book by accident at Barnes and Noble, started reading it and loved it.What I do, is just ask, and flip open to a page that I should read for today! It works, always a timely message....like it is written just for me. Julia said that this book was given to her through higher inspiration....I believe it!A perfect little book for gifts too. Just gave one to my art teacher for Christmas and she loved it!

I love anything by Julie Cameron. She is such a wise woman. Her books are always a source of inspiration & comfort for me especially during difficult times. I read them like daily meditations & have earmark passages that really hit home for me so I can read them again.

This is just a lovely book! I highly recommend it. I read a new blessing every day and then think about it through out the day.

I love this book. It's full of great things for just about every area of one's life. I share these blessings, prayers and declarations with firends and family all the time. I just love this book and suggest it for anyone who needs their spirits raised.

Her words are poetry and the blessings and affirmations are so heartfelt. It am going back to page 1 and will re-read knowing I will enjoy it even more. It’s a wonderful way to start the day.

JULIA CAMERON DOES SOME REALLY NICE WRITINGS. THIS BOOK IS SO SMALL YOU CAN CARRY IT WITH YOU ON TRIPS ETC.

I bought this book for two close friends who I felt were in need of some daily doses of support and inspiration. This book has been part of my morning reading for many years now and it has helped me shape my life to be somthing greater. Fans of Julia's other works will find it distills her message in a very non-threatening way.
