And this 52100 High carbon steel comes razor sharp with a mirror polish it’s really great steel! I prefer this steel to vg-10. And dagger comes with a very nice coating on the blade better than the other tan forged series that gets all marked up easily. The ring part is very smooth and thick and very well forged! Best self defense tool ever! Also the sheath is very nice too and has the ulti clip so it can be worn within the waist or anyway! It’s worth the money this will become your main carry knife as it has mine. Cold steel really out did themselves on this one 👏 👏!! 💯!! Update: the knife is holding up great! I wrapped the handle in some tourina leather grip tape. There’s no better knife for this price for self defense!

I bought the wasp which is misnamed and is actually the battle ring 2, very nice design, makes a great rope dart if you're interested in that kind of thing and stays in the sheath really well, so well I wear it upside down. If you want a really sharp blade, this isn't the one buddy, the blade shifts around a lot in the sheath which ends up dulling most of the edge except the tip. It's a stabby knife, not a slicer

This is a wicked knife, I have no doubt that it would see you through the worst situation you could imagine. Like all Cold Steel products it is overbuilt and absolutely battle worthy. The drop forged construction is bombproof; it feels like an old school Snap On or Craftsman drop forged wrench, which is nice. The downside to that build quality is that it's quite over-sized and pretty heavy at nearly 11 oz! The ring is about twice as big as it needs to be (I wear a size L glove) which throws off the balance and makes the knife pommel heavy. The size and weight means that it doesn't work very well as a backup knife, since it's heavier and bulkier than my G10 Espada. It would be a solid backup knife if you were going into battle, but definitely not for EDC. The ulti clip sheath works pretty well tho, so I bought a FGX ring dagger (2 oz, $7) to use with it for EDC.

This is a very thick heavy duty blade. If you are looking for a larger size blade this will do the trick. I wrapped the handle with 550 cord to give it a little more grip. I have not had to sharpen it yet so I can not speak as to how it will hold an edge but I haven't and any issues.

So I've had this knife for around 2 months now & use it literally every single day. Out of the box, it wasn't hair shaving sharp, but the tip was definitely the strong suit. I've sharpened it a tad since then to get it a little sharper to my own liking. I have a little tip damage to mines, but it's from puncturing a steel drum & it was very minimal. Like I've said, I use this absolutely every single day so there is some spots where my fingers grip that the coating has worn off, but I'm not personally bothered by it. Overall, this dagger is an absolute tank from what I've used it for, & I'll continue to carry it on me everyday.

This knife is solid through and through. It deploys easily from the sheath yet its held firmly while stored. The ring is smooth and large enough for any thumb size. The blade is an absolute razor right out of the box and doesn't require any sharpening for self-defense use. I have seen some bad reviews for the sheath, but I can't find any problems with it at all. I am more than satisfied and I would recommend this knife to anyone that is looking for a less expensive alternative and I believe a far better choice than the Benchmade SOCP Dagger.

Definitely tough but way too heavy to carry daily.
