Byron: Poems (Everyman's Library Pocket Poets Series)

This was a gift to someone I love. Now she loves me

I found out about this book of poems on a Midsomers Murders show on Neflix Streaming. In this episode, a man is killed and it appears he was the heart throb of many of the ladies in town. So many ladies pined away after this man that one young lady left a gorgeous bouquet at the grave and instead of signing the card, she wrote "So we'll go no more a roving". I really liked the sound of that line of prose and how it flowed(although I'm not a connoisseur of poetry) and so I wanted to hear the rest of the poem. Barnaby, the chief Inspector in Causton, spoke the second line "So late into the night", so then I was really intrigued. I found out who wrote the poem on the show and I found a great little book of his poems on Amazon and got it. I have memorized the poem now and the other day I recited it to my yoga class. Great poem!

The poetry is beautiful and well written. I do dispute some choices and some ommissions from this collection.

First time I had ever read anything by Lord Byron, very nice.

Fiquei apaixonada e quis conhecer mais sobre Byron,procurando, achei esse livro; super fácil de levar pra qualquer lugar ja que ele é pequenino. Pra minha alegria o poema que mencionei é logo o primeiro mas tem também So well go no more a roving e outros que não conhecia mas apaixonei. Esse livro virou minha compania pra desestressar recomendo(livro é em inglês).
