The logs do not light properly. They emit a lot of smoke.The flame goes out after a few minutes and more smoke is emitted,Then the logs suddenly burst into flame.This goes on intermittently for hours, without ever having a proper fire, but with lots of accompanying smoke..

These logs are fantastic! They are both long and clean burning and make a great looking and feeling fire. We looked high and low for them and couldn't be happier.

Just did not burn cleanly. I had to put in kindling to keep going. A bit of unpleasant waxy smell. Pretty expensive

Clean burning but leaves a lot of residue to clean up.

I just bought a small fire pit, & these are the only logs I've tried so far, so I can't really compare but.... It was easy for me to light - I just followed the directions on the wrapper. I burned 2 together & they lasted over 3 hrs. Good size flames, not many flying embers or sparks at all. Smell was not unpleasant. The only thing was it seemed like a LOT of smoke at times - beginning the middle/end of the first hour. It didn't seem normal for such a small pit, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the weather? High 40s, partly cloudy.

This was the smokiest log I have ever used. We bought it thinking it would be a "cleaner flame" and we were hoping to use it in our small fire pit on our patio...BIG MISTAKE! It was so smokey we all had to go inside and shut all the doors and windows and let it burn itself out. I won't be using the other 5 logs....

I am enjoying the logs. They are easy to use and burn up to 2 1/2-3 hours as advertised. Also easier to clean up compared to real firewood.

Too expensive, you can find other logs in a grocery store with the same quality for lesser price.
