Got this for Easter egg prep. A friend has plans for the kids to paint by throwing eggs full of paint at a Canvas. Last time we spent the night before trying to crack eggs just right. I saw this and figured I’d give this a try. Well works great. Just press against the egg and let the weighted spring pop the egg makes a nice clean cut. I’m using this on raw eggs and no issues. I don’t want to start a Lilliputian war or anything but I found that it does work best on the pointy side of the egg. I think this is only because the eggs are raw. Cooked eggs I really don’t think it would matter. Cleans easy enough. If you really want and easy clean cut on your egg, this works great.

I didn't know that egg crackers were a thing. But once I read about it, and looked at reviews I had to buy one. There is another style of egg cracker, but it is less compact. This one is smaller and easier to store. Once it arrived I had to try it straight away. It worked, making a circular Crack in the shell, and without leaving tiny bits of shell behind. I have used it often since, and it works every time. I have even used it successfully to help remove the shell on hard boiled eggs. I definitely recommend this little tool. It is inexpensive and, more importantly, it works

I like this gadget. I used it crack open my 3 minute hard boiled egg and found the opening this gadget created is a little too small for my porcelain, 3 minute egg spoon. Otherwise, it works as specified. I found I put a little more "mmph" while using the gadget, which doesn't make for a full, circle crack on the egg. So, I moved the gadget around the egg and repeated the steps to crack and it worked. Would I recommend? It depends; if your raw eggs's yolk is bigger than the whole this gadget creates, you may be in for a mess!

It worked, but shell was really jagged and did not cut as well as the picture shows it does. Left loose pieces of shell.

A proper tool for soft boiled eggs

The little top that is supposed to open the egg doesn’t work right or it’s too small. When it tries to work and FINALLY partially opens the egg, I can’t get the egg out of the shell because the hole is too little.

It came with no instructions, but there were plenty of YouTube videos to see how to use it. It took a little getting used to how much to pull the "Cracker" back before letting go. Great results every time. Makes cracking raw eggs a joy with very little (if any) mess to clean up.

This is a simple, but interesting device. Takes some getting use to but with practice you can get a nice little top section of the egg shell to come off that lets you pour the entire contents of the inside into whatever bowl, disk, pan etc., you are using. It was worth the investment as it works great once you get the knack of it.

Very practical and does the job.
