Great tool sharpener - love!
I am in love with this thing. I own 20 acres of woods, with a very large yard that I have filled with flower gardens, flowering trees, and a large vegetable garden. I do a ridiculous amount of pruning and have been either paying someone to sharpen my tools or nagging my overworked husband to do it on his wheel. Well, no more! This sharpens my bypass, needle nose, and anvil pruners, loppers, shears. Does a great job keeping my stuff sharp, no more damage done by dull pruners. I think this is a very useful, money-saving tool and I highly recommend it.

Works great on knives but not so much for scissors...

Limited usefulness. It is awkward with small hand pruners. It may work better for long blade pruners but overall I was disappointed with the product.

Feels a bit heftier in the hand than most of the sharpeners in this category. I like the double-ended sharpener design (one for single beveled, the other for double beveled). I have only used it a couple of times but it seems to sharpen adequately. Doesn't leave a real sharp edge but adequate for what I use it for (garden tools).

Always have it with me when I'm working in the garden.
This very useful tool is perfect for on-the-spot sharpening of our garden tools in the local demonstration garden. It sharpens pruners, loppers and shears very well and it's easy to carry around in a pocket so everyone can use it when needed.

This sharpener was a life saver when working in the yard for hours trimming bushes and ivy. I sharpened my pruners every 20 minutes. Worked perfectly.

maybe more of a gunk remover
I don't really know how well this sharpens. I think it took gunk off but not really sure about sharpening. I'll find something more traditional for sharpening.

I have to admit, I tried to sharpen a knife and almost cut into my hand. I also am not sure which end is for sharpening what.
