The simple plug and play was what I needed for my outdoor lights to be dimmable. Worked on the string lights with ease.

UPDATE: SUNTHIN Customer Service reached out to me and promptly sent a replacement device that works perfectly. I understand that "things happen" and defects occur... Thankfully the company stands behind their product and fixed the issue. The dimmer works just as marketed and I am happy with the company's response - and very happy with the product. Purchased dimmer with string lights by same company. Lights worked when not connected to dimmer - but not when connected. Swapped the fuse with the included spare and lights worked, however remote does not function (on/off, dim, etc.). Swapped battery (in case original was flawed) - nothing. The dimmer does not work.

I have tried three different outdoor LED dimmers. The first one induced a loud humming in my dimmable LED light strings and so it went straight back to Amazon. The second one worked inconsistently and had a junky remote. Third time is a charm, as the saying goes, because this one is great. We’ll see how it holds up, but so far I’m very happy with it.

Works for incandescent lights, too. An extra button on the remote sets the lights flashing. Another ("breath") will set it to slowly ramp the brightness up and down. When power is applied, dimmer powers up in OFF mode. Then you use the button on the remote to turn it ON (at full brightness), and then you can dim it. That is not exactly what I wanted, which was to normally use the existing light switch to do ON/OFF, but occasionally to use the remote to dim the light. That needs a dimmer that powers up in ON mode.

These are great! I've left them up through a very snowy winter, and they still work great! Also, the remote will work through walls, which is very convenient (some other brands need to within libe of site for the remote to work).

Purchased dimmer with string lights by same company awhile ago and never got to setting them up until now, Lights worked when not connected to dimmer but not when connected. I wish the cord was shorter so that I could put it in a regular outlet box to conceal but overall it does what it says. Happy with the product. I can stand inside and use remote to control outside lights

We utilize this dimmer at out campsite for lights that are on our two gazebos on our deck. I bought them months apart because we added the second gazebo later. The remote from both sets works the same and it's nice to just be able to turn both on or off pressing one button. If you just want one on then we walk to the other and press the off button closer to the transmitter so it doesn't get picked up by the ones we want on. We love the raised buttons on the remote. Hooked up with ease and have had no issues.
