Take it from me, when cleaning this bottle you will need liquor! I use 151 rum to break down the harshness of production fluids. I keep the 151 in the bottle for about four days with each day I shack it up vigorously to break down oils and whatever was used to manufacture this bottle. After the fourth day, I fill the bottle with vinegar and water, 50/50 if you will and keep it in there for another four days shacking and all. This will clean the bottle from the 151 and condition it as well. After those four days, it's ready for whatever you want in it. I use mine for water and boy do I tell you, it is clean and crisp! Just follow those directions I gave you or come close to it and I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

The bottle is so pretty and mine has only tarnished a little bit after weeks of use. I fill it up before bed for the morning and I never leave water sitting in it during the day. I’ll just wash it with whatever is recommended for these bottles to make it bright again. Also, the lid can get squeaky, but all you have to do is put some coconut oil

I like the size. Unfortunately it tarnishes and spots faster than I would like. If you don’t mind go for it. If I would have known in advance I would have passed on the purchase. It is only a week with minimal use. It works as it should.

Beautiful but not sure I will keep it. Lid appears to be used or dinged up on inside. Is it copper? It has a strong metallic smell. Is it safe?

I love this copper water bottle. It’s just the right size and I get the benifits of drinking my filtered water from a copper flask as I go about my day! Well wrapped, no dents, clean, fast shipping, and a great price.

Original review. (4 stars). I like it, but after a while, the top is hard to open. It sticks and squeaks. 5.16.25 Update. The metal is so soft that the top is now misshapen and the screw-on threads no longer mesh. It's almost impossible to open, so I'm going to have to throw it out. I'm still leaving 3 stars because it is pretty and copper is supposed to be anti-bacterial.

This is genuinely copper so it has tarnished as you’d expect but still looks great, water tastes great from it.
