It is always helpful to have all your needed supplies in one place. The things I like best about this kit:The ergonomic handles of the crochet hooks fit well in my grip. They aren’t too thick.They are very comfortable.The pink stitch counter - I’ve never had one. Testing it out it functions well and I like the cord so that I can wear it around my neck as I work.The thread snips - they are SHARP and work well.The darning needles - I can never find one when I need one. Even though they are plastic, they will work well.The tape measure - it also is well made. It seems to be a coated fabric type tape measure, not one of those inexpensive paper ones. I have crocheted for 30 years and love it. I recently had surgery on my hands for carpal tunnel, after years of crocheting and typing. The hooks are very easy to hold on to with the rubber grips. and the case is extremely high quality canvas. Comes with a great little pair of snipers, stitch markers tape measure and yarn darners. This crochet set is just wonderful. It has a lovely patterned case to hold all your hooks and accessories, great for travel. The handles are very comfortable to use, makes my wrist and hand less tired. The cost is $29.99 that is $1.76 for each item (considered the spacing hooks as 1 and the needles as 1). This is a fair price, it would and did make a nice gift for the crocheter in your life. My mother loved it. I did get this item at a discount via AMzRC.

Great hook set, has everything you need to get started and then some! The only slight criticism I have is that the counter sometimes jumps by 11 instead of 1, but you can roll it back by 10 with the dial, so it's not a big deal. Love the whole kit !! Not sure why I got two 5.0 hooks and no 4.5 hook though.

We purchased this kit for my mother-in-law. She loves it. She has carpal tunnel and she said the hooks help a lot. They are much softer and easier to use than metal or wood hooks. She tried the grips you slide on but they were hard to manage. Much, much better this way. This is a great kit for pros and for starters.

Bought this for stocking stuffer for my wife as she is always needing a different size needle and the handles are much larger reduces stress on her arthritis
