How to care for this type of squishy and what it's made of
These have always been my favorite kind of toy. After reading some of the negative reviews, here are some things to know before buying this toy and how to care for it:1. These are NOT foam squishies, aka slow-rise squishy, these are "mochi squishies" (because they look and feel like rice mochi). They are actually made of a super-soft material called elastomer (basically an elastic plastic). I personally like the way they "squish" way better than foam squishies. They are jiggly and bouncy like a gel2. Elastomer is *very* delicate and stretching it too much will cause little tears, it can also "pill" like fabric if there is too much friction. It's better to mush and poke them with fingers, not stretch them (even though that is soooooo much fun) or rub around. They will last much longer if they are just poked and prodded, it's like poking slime in terms of texture3. They are velvety because they have a thin dusting of powder (also just like real mochi). If this powder is washed off, they will get sticky but it can be fixed by dusting with talcum powder or corn starch. If you put them in water, the powder will come off and your "mochi" will get sticky, but water is the right way to clean them if they become dirty. Just be sure to dust them with powder after the bath4. It's better to play with them on a hard, clean surfaces, like a desk or table. Playing with them on a rug, floor, or bed makes it more likely they'll get "pills" and they'll eat up dirt like an eraser5. Kids can destroy these in a matter of hours unless they know what kind of play will damage them (mainly, rubbing around in grubby hands and stretching out as far as possible)... I speak directly from childhood experience, lol6. Do not store them or leave them touching hard plastic for a long period of time, the two plastics will eventually try to bond and it makes a weird sticky dent in the hard plastic (which is interesting science, but the damage is permanent)7. They will get weird and sticky/tacky if exposed to heat, don't store in them in direct sunlight or leave in a hot car8. They last for a long time if treated gently! Of course, you can opt to just sacrifice them for the sake of stretching and squeezing to your heart's content, but know they'll not look great or last as longI can't believe I just wrote a guide on these silly things. College stress is clearly getting to me.I hope this can help someone enjoy these neat little toys a bit more now. Well, time to poke some squishies and write this outline...! @_@

First impressions were good. Great packaging
First impressions were good. Great packaging, super cute product. I could see why these were so popular. My 1 star rating is due to the fact that some sort of oil leeches out of them. They felt fine when opened - not wet or sticky or oily. I noticed when my kids put the 2 or 3 they opened down onto a table that had some papers on it dark circles spread out from each squishy. I opened the rest and lay them out on a piece of cardboard to see if they all did the same - the pictures don't lie - I don't know what's coming out of them - seems oily but these are not something I want my kids to have. I can see them ruining clothes, furniture, bedspreads... pretty much anything they're set down on. Too bad.

Deformed, oozing pieces of soft plastic
I couldn't find genuine Japanese-made prototypes on a short notice, so I ordered this - stuff - based on overall reviews. Well, I might've known... Box illustrates the process of how not to feed these toys to a toddler. Each piece wrapped in plastic. The toys itself are deformed, missing limbs, having extra eyes, or looking like grapes altogether. Out of the entire box one can potentially select 4 or 5 that do not look like some mutant forms of life - but there is a bigger problem. The toys exude some kinda liquid (sorry, I didn't think to run IR spectroscopy on it), that stains paper and other absorbent materials. Not sure if these were recyclable, I dumped the whole set into the garbage. The end.

Fun gift for kids into Slime toys!
Bought this as a birthday gift for a 7 year old and she LOVED it! Such a great price and fun to play with! I didn’t notice any toxic smell, but a lot of lint or any hair/ pet hair and fuzzy will stick to it very easily.

Give love on Christmas!
My sister and I loved it so much!! It came before Christmas so my sister gave some of it as her Christmas gift (smart!) to some of our relatives. There’s only two downfall: some of the paints (like my panda) is coming off also it smells weird but it’s rubber so what to expect ;D. Anyway we loved it so much!!

Best among our squishier purchase
Bought this for my 10 year old daughter who has purchased several other squishies for herself or as friends' birthday gifts. She said this was by far the best as there are no wrinkles or smears on them. They are also more squishier than the others. Plus, the package has both silicone and foam squishes.
