Really cute romance!
4/5 ⭐️ I love a good jock x nerd romance and that was what I was in the mood for. I found this on a goodreads list under “jock/nerd romances”. I wasn’t really expecting much from it since I read another book by this author and didn’t enjoy it. I really did not expect to like this book as much as I did. It really surprised me!Rimmel was such a sweet and shy person. I liked her character and her personality. She was literally the sweetest person ever. This was a really fun and cute story. It had some funny moments too and I found myself smiling a lot! This gave me Nathan & Haley vibes from One Tree Hill and I’ve literally been obsessed with them since my teenage years🥰.I liked Romeo’s jealousy and possessiveness. I also liked that he called her baby as well. He was also very protective as well which I liked. He was your average jock but he was also really sweet towards Rimmel.Overall, it was a fun and light read and just what I was in the mood for 👍🏼.

Not my usual pick but was utterly charming
3,5 rated to 4Very not my usual book but got it advertized via email so just downloaded it and after some not so good of my usual type (EF) I picked sg very different such as this quiet sweet contemporary romance. Honestly I expected much worth and to my happy surprize it was a quiet cute uni luv book. I liked both characters and that th piw changed between them earns extra points.I also very much liked that its NOT a SERIES meaning its a standalone in the same theme but its OKEYI hwvr suggest to change the cover? Its not really showing the books potential and honestly if I didnt get fed with my fae warriors I may never pick this book by the cover. However IT SD be picked as it really gives the buzz ;) and is quiet entertaining.

Romeo & Rimmel
The first half of this book is not my favorite. There are a couple of my hard NOs happening, which is why I avoid a lot of college stories. But I know & love this author's work, and her other college guys aren't DBs, so I gave it a shot.I did live the second half, and I understand the growth both Romeo & Rimmel needed to go thru to get to their HEA. And it's still a very well told story! 😉So, I'll probably read more in the series.😍😍😍

University hazing
This story made me so glad that I never went to a college with Dorms and Frats. Shudder. It also made me shudder at how horrible a job parents had done in raising these young people. We get to hear a little bit about how the nerd went nerdy and the story is about her opening back up again. We only get 2 justifications for Romeo’s lifestyle. I am somewhat disappointed in his coach not being aware of how dysfunctional and putting his players at risk the frat house is. I’m glad he wised up. There is some sex. It is mild and didn’t really need skimming.

I don’t usually like sport romance books but I absolutely loved, loved, LOVED this one. It’s really more of a college drama but with an extra bite of jealousy and hate thrown in to spice up the intrigue. Great characters and wonderfully written. Would highly recommend and am looking forward to reading the rest of series if they don’t cost too much.

Well written
Romeo is the star and big man on campus at the University, but where he excels in everything else his grades are not great. The Dean and his coach decide he needs a tutor and assign him to Rimmel. Rome looks at the girl with the unruly hair, baggy clothes and overbig glasses and figures she will fall for his charm like everyone else, he couldn't be more wrong. Rimmel sets the tone from the get go, be on time, do your work or she is out of there. Romeo has another focus though and that is to make it into the elite fraternity and when he gets his invitation to rush, he knows he has it in the bag. The only problem though is that one of his challenges for initiation is to sleep with Rimmel. She has no idea she is about to become a pawn in the game, but the more Romeo begins to know about Rimmel the more he is questioning if he wants in the fraternity. Which will he choose? This was entertaining. A little predictable but I really enjoyed Rimmel and it was entertaining seeing Romeo put in his place.

Romeo & Rimmel
Cambria Herbert delivered a cute fun read with all the elements of college romance in her book Nerd. Our star Nerd, Rimmel is proud to wear her glasses with her head always stuck in a book, and happy to throw off anyone approaching her with her wardrobe attire of baggy clothes, too happy to be sending out “leave me alone” vibes. She’s clumsy, unpopular, socially awkward and a contradiction, because under the glasses and her baggy clothes she’s hiding her true self. Roman aka Romeo is the star college football player. He’s cocky, popular, is given VIP passes, and has girls swarming around him wanting a piece of him. When Romeo is assigned a tutor due to his poor grades his eyes would never have landed on Rimmel. The chemistry when they meet is electric and hilarious. If Romeo thought he’d get an easy pass with Rimmel tutoring him he couldn’t have been more wrong, because not only does Rimmel not have time for the extra attention, girls stepping up wanting to take her place, but she also doesn’t want to deal with a man whore. Lucky for Romeo that Rimmel is a feisty girl who can stand up for herself, and is more than happy to school him in manners and his failing subjects. What starts out as a forced situation of tutoring pushes Romeo to learn more about Rimmel, and a connection not easily identifiable to him as feelings of attraction and protectiveness take over. I have to admit I was not a fan of Romeo at the beginning, but as I got further into the story I really liked his character. When it comes to nerd books I love reading about makeovers and I couldn't wait to read about Rimmel's. It was exciting to see her turn heads amongst her peers who never realised the hidden beauty that roamed their campus. With any star football player there has to be a bff and that title went to Braeden. The guy was the perfect side kick for Romeo but he had just as much star attraction as his bff, the banter between them was funny and so addictive to read. What earned Braeden extra points as Romeo’s bff was how he treated Rimmel like his lil sis, it was just heart melting! So if you’re looking for a college romance book then the Hashtag series is a must read. I really enjoyed reading Nerd and I couldn't stop one clicking the next book in the series!

loved it!
Brilliant book! Loved Rimmel and Romeo :DThe #NERD book is first book in new series by Cambria and I have to say that I fell in love with it!The book is written from POV of two main characters: Rimmel and Romeo. Rimmel is a typical clumsy, closed and shy nerd, but she is cute. And I don't mean from her appearance, but from her kindness. She was not happy with her new task of tutoring the most popular guy on the campus. I love her unconditional love for animals and I think the thing that she wants to be a vet is amazing. We can see through the book how she is changing from closed and distrustful girl with a history, to a girl who is love and finally is able to make friends.Romeo...ah Romeo....at the beginning I wasn't a huge fan of him, but as the book went more in depth with his personality and his life, "friends" in general I felt for him. At the beginning you see a popular star of college football team, for whom there are only 3 things that are important: get into NFL, get into Frat House on the campus and getting laid. And with the last one he doesn't have any problems as girls are chasing him. So being tutored 3 times a week is not something he needs. Like at all.As the story progress we see that both characters are changing and all their insecurities are much more complicated than what we would think at the beginning.I recommend this books and I can't wait for the next part! Roll on January 2015! :D

Amazingly addictive
#Nerd by Cambria HerbertMeet Roman Anderson or Romeo as he is known around campus. The college football superstar, popular, gorgeous, has a way with the ladies and knows it. He is hoping to join the most popular Fraternity on campus. But there is one problem he is failing at his classes and his coach is making him get a tutor. Now meet Rimmel, she is a straight a student in a scholarship and the Dean of the college is making her take on Roman to tutor him.The fraternity finally give Roman his challenge and that is to have sex with the nerd (Rimmel).Romeo believes this to be an easy task as never before has his charm failed with a lady. But Rimmel is after more than just good looks and charm and the more Roman spends time with her the more he falls in love with her and genuinely wants to be with her and not because he has been told to.I was enthralled with this book from chapter one and read it in one sitting. The characters have been very well thought out and are written so well it is not hard to imagine them walking around campus. The emotional scenes both good and bad are also written very well and had my heart racing in more than one place. I was rooting for Roman and Rimmel all the way through. If you enjoy books about the challenges of first love, and how to over come them. With a roller costed of emotions then this is the book to draw you in and keep you there until the very end. #nerd

I bought this book for my birthday, recently – I’ve been wanting to read it since it came out, last year. I don’t normally buy books at their full price but I’ve gotta say, I loved this book so much that I’ve already bought the next book to start reading straightaway…..and I’m so glad that the rest of the books in the series are already out, as I’ll be picking those up very soon, too!!Rimmel is a #Nerd and a complete loner. The closest thing she has to a friend is her roommate, Ivy. She keeps herself closed off from other people, and studies hard to keep her scholarship, so she can become a vet. She hides her light under a bush of hair, big glasses, and clothes far too big for her petite frame. She’s been told to tutor a failing jock in order to keep her scholarship safe.Romeo is the golden boy celebrity on campus. He has money, connections and good looks. He’s also the star quarterback for Alpha U’s football team. However, his grades are failing, so he’s been ordered to work with a tutor to improve them, if he wants to keep playing. They get off on the wrong foot, but he needs her for his grades and she needs him for her scholarship.Romeo is trying to get into the Omega fraternity – it’s his father’s old frat and also has connections to the NFL. The president of the frat, Zach, hates him, so he is making all the frat initiation challenges as hard as possible, and throwing obstacles in Romeo’s way to avoid him being selected. The biggest challenge for Romeo is to sleep with a girl of Zach’s choosing and send photo proof of it. Yep, you’ve guessed it…..the girl he picks is Rimmel. The one girl who poses a real challenge to Romeo since she’s not falling over herself to sleep with him….even though she’s a klutz and keeps tripping up over things! Haha. This is the first time I’ve read this author and I love her style!I enjoyed the pace of the story and I’ve gotta say, it gave me butterflies in places, and made me tear up in others. Always a good sign of a fab book! What I liked was that Romeo wasn’t an arrogant jerk, nor was it insta-love. I liked that, even though he had the initiation challenge to sleep with Rimmel, he also wanted to get to know her – to really see who the real Rimmel was, under all that hair! In turn, he likes that Rimmel seems to want to know him for himself – not for who he is or what he has. His world always feels right when he’s with her.Yep! Totally loved this book!! #TopRead2015

Good!
This was the first book that I've read by this author, and I didn't know what to expect. YA is one of my favourite go to genres so I looked forward to reading this. I will admit, I felt the first half of the book dragged out and I was losing interest, but something shifted for the second half of the book. This book reminded me of the film She's all that (which is one of my favourites) and the series Gossip Girl (again, one of my favourites). The only downside is that there was no surprise in this book. I could see where it was going. However, I do look forward to reading book 2, because this book ended when things were heating up and a danger was looming.I did like Romeo and Rimmel, and I need to know they get a HEA.
