I rabbit Kutani pottery teapot pot (with tea strainer)

I have owned this little tea pot for 8 years. It is perfect for me. As the only tea drinker in the house I only ever make one cup at a time anyway. This pot has never failed me. The tea starts warm for a good while, it is stoneware not ceramic. I do not wash it, just rinse out after use and occasionally scrub the strainer.

I LOVE this teapot. It’s cute and well made along with the tea strainer that comes with it. There’s one small caveat that’s not an issue for me, but could be an issue for others. It dribbles a little when you first pour a fresh pot of tea. As long as you have something under the cup, it’s not a big deal. Also, as this pot is 16 oz, it’s good for two cups to a cup and a half depending on how big your tea cup is. I have small Japanese tea cups (really tiny), and I can get four good pours out of this teapot with those cups.

Like: very cute, the coloring is sorta matte- not dull but the shine isn't glossy - hard to describe. The moon and grass highlights in gold really catch the light but in a pleasing way.Dislike: very very small - I have tea mugs that hold more than this. spout is also wide but I dont think it would matter with the tea temp as it doesn't hold a lot. I think the price was a bit high for the size but it IS very pretty. amazon also shipped it without much fanfare- it was in one of their white bubble envelopes they use for book and small unbreakable items! just the box inside and not a very strong/sturdy box. I did look nice though and wasn't crushed as I guess amazon drivers treat their stuff better than the mail and ups LOL! but nothing was broken or scratched.overall I'm happy with the product and the price for the cuteness but if I'm in a hurry before work I'm likely to just nuke water in one of my larger mugs and prepare the tea there and drink while looking at this teapot on the shelf! I think it would have been just as cute being made as a tea mug or mug with a small lid instead of adding the spouot and calling it a teapot

I read the reviews and noted the pot was small, but was surprised it was THAT small. That being said, it is adorable. The quality is excellent and I am very happy to keep and display it proudly. Overall I am happy with purchase. Considering the cups to complete the set.

I absolutely love this teapot. It's the cutest, most perfect teapot I've ever seen--so exquisitely painted and designed. I was thrilled to see and order it. It was pricey--$39. That was plenty, and I paid it. Now, two weeks later, I want to buy another one for a gift, and the price has shot up to $48. Rip-off! What's going on? Even with the price gouging of nearly everything I buy, it's usually a dollar or two increase on regularly purchased items (supplements, for instance), and it happens over a longer period of time, so the increase is more subtle. This is outrageous. So disappointed.

It came with a strainer, so it works very well with loose leaf. It holds heat well, and has enough room in it for about two teacups. Maybe a bit more. Is small, so easy to find a place on a table. Love the texture of the pot.

I love this! When I first removed the teapot from its box, I wondered if it was made of metal. It was so light and the matte finish so unusual that I double checked the description on Amazon to be sure it was pottery. It’s porcelain, actually, which must be why it’s so fine delicate.It holds about a cup and a half, which is perfect for me. In my regular size teapot, by the time I want a second cup, the tea is cold and I have to heat in the microwave.The teapot is beautiful, too. I plan to buy one or two for gifts, plus get another a an Kutani with a different design just for variety and because they are so lovely. I could start a collection!

Perfect for Russian style tea making: very strong brew diluted with boiling water. We make the brew in the tea pot, pour some in the cup, add boiling water to dilute. This allows for customized tea strength. Some like just a few drops of the brew, others prefer stronger tea.This teapot is perfect for a company of four tea lovers. It makes enough brew for a long evening of tea drinking.The spout is perfect: does not leak any liquid; everything goes straight into the cup.The presentation is lovely: very well made, pleasant design.For such a high quality item the price is just right.Would highly recommend for any tea lover, Russian or otherwise:)
