James Bond Themes: The Complete Collection: 1962-2015

I was warned by one of your reviewers that the music is not the original themes from the movies but instead done by one orchestra. Almost all the songs are instramental except for the last three movies. But, they are not sung by the original artists. I enjoy the Bond music so it didn't matter that much to me. However, if you are not aware of this information you could be greatly disappointed.

I had read the reviews that complained about this not having the original songs, but just the orchestra. Which is what I was searching for! Because I just needed background music. So I bought it! However, this is pretty terrible even as background music! The Skyfall song isn't too bad and the first disc works, (however, the male singer sounds terrible!) but the second disc is awful. It isn't orchestra music, it sounds more like MIDI's from the 80's and early 90's..super synthesized! An orchestra would've sounded so much better. The synthesized version of "The Man with The Golden Gun" is almost comical. I don't mind synthesized music when it's Depeche Mode or OMD, but "Live and Let Die", synthesized, is a complete joke. So if you're searching for background James Bond music, move on...because this is not it.

PRODUCT STATES THEMES BY VARIOUS ARTISTS, WHICH LEADS YOU TO BELIEVE THAT THE THEMES ARE BY THE ARTISTS ASSOCIATED WITH EACH MOVIE. THE FACT IS THAT THE WHOLE CD IS MADE UP OF INSTRUMENTAL THEMES PERFORMED BY THE STUDIO ORCHESTRA, NOT VARIOUS ARTISTS. CD WORKS OK FOR BACKGROUND MUSIC BUT NOT WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS ORDERING.

The music on this CD is not from original soundtrack which I thought I was buying. Some tracks are varied from the original musical score so sound quite a bit different from the original. Most tracks are OK but there are a few disappointments. also....

This collection only gets an OK--It was disappointing--I am an avid James Bond fan and I was expecting Original themes as are played at the beginning of each movie.

I could swear I listened to a sample prior to purchasing this CD but after getting it, yuck! I am amazed that it claims to have been recorded by an orchestra because it mostly sounds like something someone put together in their garage. Be sure to listen closely to the samples before you buy.

I thought I was buying all the original theme songs from the James Bond movies so I am very disappointed. Even the songs that do have lyrics are not the original artists. The rest are just an orchestral version of the song and some are unrecognisable. I ll be tossing this one and looking for another!!

I did not hear Skyfall on the CD. I was very disappointed.This was one of my reasons for purchasing the CD.

I was looking at various CDs for all the James Bond themes and noticed this had more recent tracks. I should have read the reviews - the songs are only made great by the voices they use and this music does none of it justice. Would NOT recommend this to anyone - a complete waste of money

Leider habe ich dieses Album ohne vorherige Hörproben gekauft - und werde es nun an Freunde mit Kindern weiterschenken!Das United Studio Orchestra scheint aus einem einzelnen Synthesizer zu bestehen... jedenfalls klingen die Titel ausnahmslos wie Musik im China-Restaurant!Das schlechteste Album, das ich je erworben habe!

Meine ohren haben nach einer minute wehe getahn.Ich werde nicht einmal aus der CD mp3 machen.Ich habe mich in grund und boden geschämt, das beises orkester , micht einmal die geschwindigkeit und tonfolge getofen haben.Siet hier auf oks gewesen oder besofen.
