Great quality, excellent service, amazing recovery benefits!
I am an avid runner & Ironman triathlete and debated for the longest time on whether I can afford a pair of recovery boots. Over the past few years, I've been able to try Normatec, Rapid Reboot, and Air Relax either at the races or borrowed from friends. First of all, there's no question in my mind that these compression boots helped my legs feel fresher and less sore after a hard workout. The recovery has been a limiter for me as I get older <sigh> so I was looking for a way to recover faster and train more consistently. The issue for me has been affordability. Normatec and Rapid Reboot are in the $1000-$1500 range while Air Relax is around $400. After checking out the Air Relax carefully, I just didn't feel the quality was up to par as the other two, which is why I never pulled the trigger on it (If I'm spending hundreds, I want to know that it's going to last, especially if I'm going to use it often). I actually came across this Speed Hound system at their tent at the Wildflower Triathlon and was able to try them on and was really surprised. The quality is just as good as Normatec and the price point is within striking distance of what I was willing to spend. The quality to price ratio was what tipped me over to get this. Now that I've had it for a while, I couldn't be happier. This system is really easy to use and the compression pressure is probably twice as much as Normatec (I prefer a higher compression pressure). The pressure is highly adjustable over a wide range so this is a personal thing. There are 4 different zones and 2 different modes to allow for sequential or peristaltic type of massage, also a preference/comfort thing. This also comes with a padded carrying case which will make it handy to bring to my races. We're doing a Ragnar relay later this year and I'm sure the folks in our van will be lining up to use this between our legs!

Excellent recovery aid! Very well made and lots of pressure for getting to those sore muscles!
I am a cyclist who was putting in roughly 150-200 miles on 4-5 days a week of riding. At my age (50+) I don’t recover as quickly so due to the loads from my workouts, my legs always felt dead. I was not very good at stretching and the foam roller never quite got my calves. A fellow cyclist raved about his recovery boots (different brand), so I decided to purchase a pair for myself. I selected the Speed Hound Recovery boots as they seemed to be decently priced with competitive performance to other brands.Equipment: Out of the box, the unit is well made. The materials and fabrication look robust and solid.FIt: I’m 5’7” and bought the long version. They cover a good portion of my thigh so it can get to my IT bands. Easy to get into and out of with a strong industrial zipper.Operation: I strapped them on and set the unit at a mid point for pressure and aired them up. The first thing you notice is that the pump is not to loud. You can barely hear the unit over the TV. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. There are 2 settings, A to cycle through the 4 zones and B to hold each zone as it inflates subsequent ones. You have the option of 10, 20 or 30 minutes per session. I like the 20 or 30 minute sessions.Performance: These things provide a firm and even pressure around your leg. I’m currently using the 140-160 setting and there is a good amount of pressure with more in reserve.Overall: My legs have never felt better as the tightness and knot are getting worked out after every workout!. The boots are getting to all my hot spots. I started to run a little as well and the boots are keeping me free of soreness and cramps. An added benefit is that your feet get a nice massage. I have an active family so everyone gave it a try and became immediately hooked. We now fight for turns every night!

Great product and great value
I am triathlete and recovery is super important for me. These recovery boots are perfect to help speed that process and get ready for the next workout. I have wanted to pull the trigger on a pair in the past but just couldn't see spending $1400 for the Normatec and others just don't seem that high quality. I got a chance to demo the Speed Hounds at the Wildflower Triathlon and they felt like a good combo of high quality and value, so I gave them a shot. After a week of using them, I can honestly say that they are the best value in this class. I have tried the Normatec at races and I really cannot tell the difference. The quality seems excellent and I love the convenient carrying case that will make it very ez to travel to races or training camp. So glad I made the decision to give these a try.

Top level recovery at an incredible price.
Excellent, top level recovery system. I've used many different leg compression systems from Normatec and Rapid Reboot to cheaper models and i can honestly say these boots are as good as they come. I've had them for a couple of weeks now and they are a staple in my recovery. The control interface is simple and user friendly. It's simple to select the desired pressure, as well as select which compartment of the boots you want working without having to stop the current operating cycle. With the highly competitive price point for these boots, it's a no brainer these should be your go-to when recovering from a hard workout. I only wish i could give them 6 stars.

Really good value!
I purchased the Speed Hound Leg Pump because I was looking for a compression pump to help with my recovery after long training sessions. Having tried other systems, I believe that this one is the best value for money. The leg boots are high quality while the module is very simple to operate. More importantly, I have seen improvements in my recovery, being able to do back to back training sessions of 3+ hours without feeling fatigued or sore. The system is quiet and you can regulate the amount of compression you want based on your needs.
