Vinyl LP pressing. 2013 album from the Seattle/Grunge legends. 25 years in, Vanishing Point affirms that, even in an age where only the newest of the new can survive, Mudhoney still have plenty to say and more to offer. These are songs written from the rare vantage point of a band who went through the rock n' roll meat-grinder and not only lived to tell such a tale, they came out full of the wisdom and dark humor such a journey provides. Vanishing Point is filled with dread, psychoanalysis and Nuggets-on-fire riffs; the sort of uninhibited rock music that is harder and harder to locate these days. With Vanishing Point, Mudhoney makes it easy.

Contemplative Arrogance
This is a really fun album, it's silly, aggressive, guitar garage driven, arrogant, classic mudhoney. Their sound and lyrics never really matured into wisdom, grace like some bands (example: pearl jam). It's a good thing for fans of the original mudhoney that don't expect too much artistic change in mudhoney. Is it true to themselves now or contrived old guys still trying to sound young and coming off goofy? Fans will be the judge of that. It's rare to see a band remain good and true to their original sound/image all these years. They still hold a similar energy to their old stuff, not as aggressive or as high energy as before but close. It's also good to see this band never sold out, it's still lo fi, punk, garage, grunge. This band deserves more attention.

MUDHONEY FAN??.....Get it NOW!!!
Is this better than SUPER FUZZ BIG MUFF???? Well Probably not.... Probably won't win over any new fans....However for those of you who are familiar with Mudhoney.....Is this their best album since at least Piece of Cake(1992)..... In My Opinion,Absolutely!!! Thank GOD we still have bands like Mudhoney that are still making great music! If you are a fan, Get this now! They are a true original and if you have not seen them live, do so!

I like this Big
A great album from Mudhoney."I like it Small" will get stuck in your head from the first listen. The other standouts for me are "I Sing This Sound of Joy" and "I Don't Remember You"The band has never sounded better. If you don't like this album you probably have bad taste and should quit listening to music and try reading or Etch A Sketching in your free time.

I'm so into their schtick ...
It's funny how a grunge band can benefit from near-pristeen recording; it sound like you are right in front of them, and the soundman is very good. Love these guys forever, as they make me dance, laugh and wanna go in the garage and turn up my amp. Nice and short, also, like a garage-band should do it.

They still got it!
The newer stuff from Mudhoney is as good as the older stuff, if you ask me. They still got it!

They really need to stop now.
Oh Mudhoney..you used to make every record worth listening too..then came the Lucky Ones..which was boring..after 2 comeback albums on Sub Pop which were awesome pieces of Hawkwind inspired space fuzz rock. I could just not get into this record..Marks voice is starting to go a bit also..which is minor..the song i like it small is the dumbest song they have ever done.

more garage/grunge/psych rock 'n' roll
9th studio release since 1989 from these perennial Seattle grunge babies, with more raw guitar, bluesy, screamo garage rock driven by a sneering, good-time, in-your-face attitude. Marc Arm's pompously ripping talk/sing vocals & Steve Turner's nasty, spastic guitar shards combine to deliver a naturally vicious sort of ass-kickin' garage/psych rock `n' roll. Includes members from Green River, Bloodloss, Monkeywrench, Love Battery, the Thrown Ups. Recalls bands like Iggy & the Stooges, the Fluid, MC5, Skin Yard, Human Eye, Motorhead.

One Of Mudhoneys best
Well what can I say Dodax deliver the goods again good polite customer service, and the CD was sealed and well packagedEvery track on this album is dynamite, it seems that Mark Arm is ageing vocally just like a fine wine trust me. You will not be disappointed

This is a great new album from Mudhoney, I bet Iggy wishes he could still produce song of this class. Not gonna go through the songs, not a klunker on here, buy it, turn it up loud & enjoy. If you're new to Mudhoney, it's a great place to start.

Best Mudhoney album in a while
Really like Vanishing Point. It's great they are playing most of the album live and less of a greatest hits setlist.
