The Stagecoach (Lucky Luke)

I always love Lucky Luke books/stories

The 9 year old loves this series. This one doesn't disappoint.

Best book ever, love these guys.

My gavorite of the Lucky Luke series. The best books are written by Rene Goscinny (author of Asterix!). I read these as a kid - and they still hold up. This one is a nod and wink to Henry Ford's "Stagecoach". Great!!!

This was a much loved book from my childhood, and I bought this for some nostalgia and also to hopefully entertain my children. However, the new translation has removed all the vast majority of funny lines that I remembered. It might be amusing to somebody who is unfamiliar with the original, but unfortunately I'm not in that category and cannot recommend it.Edited to add: two years later, I've managed to find an original version and it's even better than I remember as a child. Look for the translation by Frederick Norton - it's so far above and beyond this travesty. Now I've had a chance to directly compare, I'm revising my original review down to a single star - and it's lucky to get that.

I'm a fan of all of the Lucky Luke Comics - their wit and sense of humour is yet to be matched in my opinion. The artwork was fantastic for the time. The actual plot was pretty far fetched but then it's supposed to be - its a comic!
