Another early book (number 12 I think) from 1958 featuring the first appearance of those silly Dalton Brothers - cousins of the original nasty bunch which Luke has already dealt with. They start out in this book as completely useless, hilariously so, but then appear to try to learn some of their cousins trade, with some success. Then armed with this killer knowledge they split up and go after Luke, one by one. There are some strange out of character sequences in this book, such as Averell and Luke taking part in a brawl, but typically Luke gets his way in the end. I didn't think it was the one of the best Lucky Luke books, but it must have had some impact as the Dalton brothers appear SOOO many times after this, indeed are STILL appearing in new Lucky Luke books now. Hey and it isn't every day a new Goscinny translation hits the post mat!
