Great maroon color...
I'd designed a small keychain for a former local high school logo (gotta love consolidations) for some family members that once attended. That's when I noticed how absolutely few manufacturers make a maroon PLA filament. After searching around, this seemed to be the most color accurate I could find to my needs. And it's a gorgeous maroon. Not only that, but the filament sticks well to the bed and prints great. No issues at all on my setup.Setup - FLSUN Super Racer with MicroSwiss Dual Gear Bowden Extruder, MicroSwiss CM2 0.6 Nozzle, Capricorn Bowden Tube, FYSETC PEI build plate.Settings - 180c print temp, 60c bed (these settings worked great for ME and are my normal settings for PLA, your printer, even a FLSUN SR, will likely use different settings, just posting these to give more info to those looking at this filament).

Great Filament for Beginners and Pros alike.
This PLA2 is an awesome product!!!! Soft, sandable, dimensionally sharp, and it can be dropped, used in mechanical products, thrown in a washing machine, you name it. My company and I have torture tested every prototype we have made with this product. It can take the abuse. I have been very impressed with this white. It's color is very bright white. This product is incredibly forgiving, and only seemed to have print issues when I would make a mistake with setting up my printer.Prints really well at 198 - 200c with a 50 - 55c bed. While I have gone as hot as 210c on the nozzle with little issue, any hotter bed (60c+)and you will get elephants foot for sure. You could probably print on a cold bed with success too (and the right bed adhesive) though I always like to print with a little bed heat. This filament would be awesome for first time users and advanced users alike. It gives you plenty of room to play, is very forgiving, and gets you great results. I will definitely order again.

Temperature is critical. Use a calibration tower.
YOUR FIRST PRINT WITH THIS FILAMENT MUST BE A TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION TOWER! This will save you much frustration. Search prusaprinters.org for "small quick temperature tower" to find one that consumes only 4 grams of filament. For a Prusa MK3S, the filament jams the extruder at 210° (standard PLA temperature) with loud clicking noises. It prints well using 225° for the first layer and 220° for remaining layers.Read the cheat sheet in the product description. It matters. Use the filament override settings in your slicer to set retraction speed to 25 mm/s, and the heat bed settings recommended in the cheat sheet (60° first layer, 50° for the rest) has worked well (so far) for my powder-coated steel sheet. When the print is done, the part loosens itself completely from the build plate as it cools.Self-adhesion seems to be excellent compared to other PLA, although build plate adhesion is noticeably weaker, but still seems good enough. I printed a large part and it had no visible warping to ruin the adhesion, so that helps. The color is a somewhat translucent white. The first layer actually looks transparent on the build plate. For printing lithophanes, I recommend printing thicker than usual to get decent contrast, due to the translucency of this filament. The finish has a nice even sheen to it.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star but...
Overall this filament is a solid 4 star in my book. What brought it down a notch for me was while the spool has even windings, they are too tight. Every print that I've done so far I noticed that the filament would tighten up, then suddenly jerk. I noticed this happening on either side of the spool and this did it consistently. This had me concerned as I felt at some point this is going to give some kind of printing error and sure enough during my 8th print, about the 1/2 way into a 12 hour print, there was a failure causing a layer seperation which i can only attribute to the very tight windings.Unfortunatly I wasnt there when this occured and I didnt notice the error in the print until it had finished, while I was removing it from it bed. Very disappointing to say the least. The other prints up to that point were flawless.I'm not an expert, but I'm not a novice either. I've been 3d printing for many years and I own 3 printers and this is the only time I have ever experienced this happening (the filament tightening then jerking causing layer seperation.) Some may think that there may have been an issue with the file causing the layer seperation, however all the previous prints came out fine and they were all the same type part, So this is the only conclusion I can come up with. The only other issue I have is with the color/name. This color is called "leather" which was the color I was hoping for, but I think that fell short a little. I will admit, it was close, but in my opinion it couldve been a tad darker. But "good enough" for what I needed in a "leather" color.Pros:-Made in America! And in the great state of Texas! I am so tired of stuff being farmed out to China!-Nice even windings-Prints like butter, prints come out silky smooth (I use Prusa Slicer on their finest setting. Very long print times but well worth it!)-Very minor, if any, stringing, pimplingCons:-Windings while are nice an even, are very tight causing the filament to tighten and then suddenly jerk especially as it spools out at either edge of the spool. To me, this is a Major zonk!-If you use Supports they leave the area light colored but with carefully applied heat to the effected area, it will return the original color back.Would I buy it again? Unfortunately because of the issue I experienced, I would have to say no. Which is a shame because up until the problem occurred I was really impressed with this filament, but I just don't want to chance this happening to me again. I'm hard pressed to even use up the rest of the remaining filament.I hope this review helped the 3d printing makers out there! "Keep calm and print on!" Lol.

Nice color and prints well
PLA Color: Maroon.Printers used: Ender3Pro and Ender3-S1.Used this to print a couple Christmas presents, as well as a couple other items since, and it prints very well with nice layers and great adhesion. Both my printers are direct drive (the Ender3Pro was upgraded) so retract settings are on the lower side, and it printed with minimal stringing. Overall, highly recommend.
