As a former science teacher and current 3D design instructor, I have been designing my own microscope to phones and camera adapters for years. Most worked; but, they did not work across a variety of cell phones. So, I was delighted to find this universal solution in such an affordable package. I have several microscopes, both student and professional having different size eye pieces and different phones in the family having different camera placements. This adapter covers ALL of them!I first learned about this attachment when I was looking for a stereo microscope to give as a gift for a neighbor's family. (Product B07M8H8LN6: The Student Kids Beginner Stereo Microscope Science Kit 20X-40X Compound LED Light Source ). That package included this phone adapter. So I order a second adapter for myself to test. I could not be happier.Having an imaging device on any microscope increases its teaching value immensely because it enables us to share with the student exactly what they are seeing. Being able to record that experience also enhances the educational value.The directions are clear and it took just a few minutes to understand how to attach it to a microscope and snap an image. It's not a great subject; but, does prove that this adapter is an extremely useful product that will multiply the value of having a microscope in your home. I love it!

I purchased this in hopes it would work with a rifle scope, doubting that it probably wouldn’t work. My goal was to allow younger kids to be able to see what was going on when shooting since they struggled to use a scope.For those who are wondering: THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH A RIFLE SCOPE.This product is designed for any scope where your eye is as close scope as possible. Spotting scope, binoculars, microscope, etc. Rifle scopes require your eye to be a few inches back. The result is a very poor, zoomed out view of any target.The product is a bit high maintenance, sure, but the end result is a sturdy product. Everything fits snugly. Sadly this does not work with the iPhone 8+. The iPhone has 1 camera and 1 sensor off to the side. If the sensor is covered then when you zoom in the camera goes black. The iPhone 8+ requires both be visible in order to zoom in. If the sensor is covered zooming in results in a black screen. Zooming is is a necessity for this product.I took some 2” box and sanded down 1 end to fit the device. Mounted the pvc over my scope using som fabric as a protective layer. The idea being an extension between the phone/device, and the scope. The result was... well, something usable. I still wasn’t able to zoom in the camera though to reduce looking down a tube. I decided to drill the hole bigger in hopes it would fit bit the camera and sensor and allow more light. The result was.. well, slightly more usable as far as zooming in, but also off center due to the extra 4” of pvc pipe.2 stars because this wouldn’t work seamlessly with the iPhone 8. If I had another phone camera I think the results would be much different

First I tried this attachment with my case still on the phone - it was ok but I was hoping for more, Then I tried it with my case off - Wow it was much better and I was very pleased.It is easy to use but you must do a little thinking ahead for when you want to use it.

The product seems good, but I bought the wrong one for my eyepiece. I returned it and got the larger one and it really works well. I took a photo of the full moon to test is out and I was amazed by the quality of the shot. Great fun. Decent price for a good tool. Just check your size before ordering.

Well constructed but my spotting scope has a soft eyepiece lip, the depth of circular attachment mechanism is too shallow to clear it. Had to improvise a tube to go over the eyepiece for the mount surface to grab on to. Ended up replacing with similar product with a different design.

Worked great in low lite

First time I tightened it down on the scope it broke and no I didn’t over tighten it because it’s plastic

Works perfectly to align photos and video up with microscopes and binoculars.
