Excellent Coffee Machine With Lots of Customisability
Pros- Customisability- Milk steamer- Quality of CoffeeCons- Not very 'plug and play' for casual coffee drinker- No included frothing jug- Slightly annoying cleaning cycle when turned on/off- Slight ambiguity in coffee selection button (minor)This was the first bean to cup coffee machine we have purchased after previously using a 'pod' machine. We liked the idea of a bean to cup coffee machine after using one at workNow we have the coffee machine set up to how we like it after a couple of weeks of trial and error it makes a fantastic cup of coffee. The machine itself can customise the taste of the coffee in a number of ways from bean grind size to strength of coffee to change how the pour tastes. This has taken some adjustments to get things exactly how we like. The bean grinder comes at a pre set level which we tried changing significantly but found that grind sizes 'in and around' the preset work best for this type of machine. Outside research told me that on these types of machines if you change the size too much, it can significantly impact the machines ability with the automated nature of pouring. The coffee options are simple to select although maybe not as clear as the manufacturer would have hoped. For example, it took some outside research the 'Luongo' isn't exactly a double espresso shot and contains more water than 2 espressos would. This can be worked around by just using the x2 button with a single espresso shot. The x2 button is a helpful feature when hosting a friend and you want to make a couple of good quality cups at the same time. The steamer is also very good and heats up the milk quickly! The machine doesn't come with a milk steaming jug though which was a bit annoying to have to purchase separately and not something I would have expected at this price point. One word of warning is whenever the coffee machine is turned off or on, it goes through a mini cleaning cycle where some water is expelled so just make sure you have a mug/jug under the spout to catch this water.Using a bean to cup machine has a distinct variability in itself in terms of the beans you use in the machine vary how the coffee tastes so if you have a coffee shop you love I'd recommend getting beans from there to so you know the taste you are going for.Overall it is an excellent coffee machine and while it will take a while to set up for a non coffee expert coming from a pod machine, it is well worth the effort and makes a significantly better cup once figured out with excellent customisability.

Highly recommend bean to cup coffee machine.
This coffee machine is a great upgrade to our previous delonghi corso - is does what it says on the tin - many other machines are unable to deliver on the temperature (although there are settings available) but this one makes perfectly hot and tasteful coffee. You can set your own coffees in regards of strength and amount of milk and coffee and also you can select the frothness of the milk itself. Cleaning is very easy as the machine does it itself for both the coffee and milk systems. Highly recommended.

great coffee but not 1.8L as stated
Replaced a aging Eletta Plus and first impression is the noticeable difference in size. This has a smaller footprint which is good if space is limited. It states that it is a 1.8L capacity tank - IT IS NOWHERE NEAR - max is 1.4L which matters considering the amount of water wasted on start up and shut down. I get a maximum of four coffees before needing to refill the tank.I does, however, make a great coffee with excellent crema (depending on your choice of beans) and the milk is steamed to perfection.

Being an advocate of bean to cup De Longhi coffee machines, this is by far the best I’ve ever had. Love it. Good Black Friday deal too

Very good
It was very noisy to start with, it did say descale around every 3 months, but it did request descaled after around the first month,

Descaling issue
Purchased this machine less than 4 weeks ago, first impression was it is a good looking machine, it did take about an hour to get up and running going through all the settings, water hardness etc but once I had gone through a few cups of it did make a good cup of coffee.Things started going wrong when after only 12 days (at about 5 cups a day that’s 60 cups) it called for a descale, this process can be paused temporarily but I did it anyway, this is a lengthy process of almost an hour of which you need to be in attendance for refilling tank and emptying of container which had to be balanced under outlets, but once done away I went again making nice coffee, then today only 2 weeks after the last descale it called for it to be done again, according to Delonghi site descaling should be about every 3 months or 300 cups of coffee not twice in 1 month and about 120 coffee’s.I did once have a leak from somewhere which flooded my work surface too much to be from the drip tray which has to be emptied on a regular basis, as this only happened the once I was not too concerned about it, the constant descaling however is a problem, how long is it going to last being descaled twice a month at nearly £500 was not prepared to take the risk and have returned it under Amazon’s 30 day no quibble refund. If it was not for the descaling issue I would have been very happy with this machine, perhaps another one wouldn’t have the same issue mine did but I don’t intend getting another one of these so shall never find out.
