They are ok, much cheaper than philips brand - but also dont respond as well
these dont always turn on with google assistant - like 8 of 10 will randomly work and two wont respond. its strange - but I have about 50 other philips brand lights and they have never done this.

Poor performance with Hue
I bought these to go with my Hue lights. These have a different color spectrum compared to the regular Hue bulbs. This causes the Hue app to have to choose a different spot on the spectrum to get the same color. The problem surfaces when using the Hue dimmer switch. When you use the Hue dimmer switch to turn the lights on and off these bulbs turn on in a very different shade compared to the rest of the lights. You then have to go into the Hue app and re-choose the color you want for the bulb to then change to the proper color. Now sometimes when turning on the lights from the app itself these bulbs turn random colors. You feel like light green right now? Good chance it will turn blue. Feel like pink? It might turn yellow. When using these bulbs outside of the Hue ecosystem they still suffer some of the same problems. When using it with Eria app they do much of the same things. Turning different colors from what you said to the bulbs individually turning different colors. Feel like some warm soft white? Well i got it to turn green and pink about 50% of the time. Now, if you are willing to deal with all of this they do look pretty nice and bright when they are in the white spectrum.Side note, these bulbs heat up. A lot. It's comparable to normal incandescent bulbs. Wouldn't recommend handling these even after they had been off for a while. Also when opening the package, which was still sealed with the factory seals, the bulbs were coated in a black dust that smelled like graphite or ash.Obviously i am returning these as they don't work consistently/for my purposes. I'm just going to order the normal BR30 Hue bulbs, more expensive, but at least they work.

The flicker is the dealbreaker here
I really wanted to love these smart lights. They have great color rendition across the whole spectrum and a high white temperature range, and are the only BR30 bulb I've found with a CRI > 90. The pairing process is... interesting. You flick a light switch 5 times and it pairs with your Zigbee-compatible hub (in my case I used Philips Hue). When I got my lights, one of them was broken, seems that the LED component had fallen out of its socket. That light did not work at all, although the other 5 I ordered worked just fine. One of the big problems plauging a lot of LED lights on the market today is a flicker that's not noticeable to the naked eye but can cause eyestrain. Some light bulbs handle the flicker better than others, but unfortunately these bulbs are some of the worst flicker offenders on record. The flicker is easily visible from a smartphone camera and I can't tolerate that. Sorry smart bulbs you're going back to Amazon.

Much less expensive smart BR30
If you are considering these bulbs as an alternative to Philips Hue, then they're a great option. They pair well with the hub and handle being controlled fairly well. The process of pairing them with an off-brand hub is a bit odd, but it just takes a quick factory reset, which means turning the lights off and on a couple times. The manual that comes with the bulbs explains that, if you read it. Or, you can do what I did and google furiously until you find some vague references to factory reset procedure online.Comparing them to the market leader, they turn on and off just as smoothly as the Hue bulbs, and their colors are very vibrant.I've noticed some occasional software glitches when they're being controlled by the computer app Huetro, especially when you're switching between the more exotic colors. There are some completely different glitches when using the Hue App, so my guess is that it's something odd in the software. If it feels like the bulbs don't have a proper range of colors, then I can tell you from playing around that they definitely do, it's just a glitch somewhere along the line. But these little glitches haven't messed with my usability at all. The main reason I got them was to have a more natural range of color temperatures in my house, and they're absolutely great for that. I highly recommend them as an alternative to more expensive options.

I’m giving up — multi-platform house
I readily admit, my house is too complicated. I have over 100 devices with a Google Home frontend and almost everything you could think of behind that. Some of the platforms include smart things Hue, LIFX, Nano, Lutron, Apple TV, Google TV, Sonos everywhere, ecobee,,,. You get the idea.I try to put any these many ways including purchasing their $20 hub., I went into a hue bridge, I went to a generic Zigby bridge , I changed out a Lutronsmart switch for a simple switch for the wall switch, I went direct to the Google bridge. My installation efforts were successful initially. But the configuration would not stick. Eventually. the bulb will return to an unknown state, and eventually the name would be lost to Google Home.I think my house is just too complicated it’s certainly not the normal case. But if you have many technologies in your home I’d recommend you test single bulb first.

Best hack ever.
Been using these bulbs for 5 years. Excellent alternative to Hue.

They work well..
Not the same as the Hue color ones. Been working great until this last month. One light bulb will change on it own constantly. It was just randomly now it won’t stop and won’t stay on the chosen color...

Arrived in pieces, but worked after assembly.
When they arrived, the box was torn apart and the lights were in pieces. I managed to get the lights put back together fairly easily. I installed them and they worked as advertised.
