Drotto Automatic Boat Latch (Zinc) 3-3/4" W Roller

Every boat trailer should have one of these from the factory. I have an ez loader with rollers, hop in the boat, warm up the engine, pull the rope from the driver's seat, and off you go, loading up, just drive it on the trailer, when you hear the click, shut the engine down, raise the outdrive, your ready to roll. Don't hesitate guys, you won't be disappointed. Just some minor adjustments to the trailer mount, and the eye hook needed lengthened to accept the strap hook and chain. Well worth it!

Work perfect, I was very satisfied. The Bubby one was to easy to bend the pin . I try to be rough with this one . I have a Hurricane boat, very heavy. Not one slip up yet.

I follow instructions and installed and it worked first time. Nobody had to get in water. Worked like a champ!!!!’

I have a 3 ton sport cruiser so I was a little concerned. This thing does work very well and it seems to be very well built. It's a little pricey but I don't mind paying for a good product. Hopefully it'll last .

Great product, well designed and well made.

I received/installed and have finally used my Drotto Boat Latch (large 3 3/4" model). I have a 2015 Cayman 226, and this product is a game-changer for me. I frequently fish/boat by myself and this makes launch and retrieval SO MUCH EASIER. The ramps I usually use have dockage away from the ramp, so the method of using one or two lines (after the trailer is in the water) does not work for me.I have installed trailer stepsand can now back down, release the bow strap, get in and start the boat, and pull the Drotto Release handle. The boat is now in the water and ready to dock. Hop back in the truck to park.On return, I dock the boat, back down the trailer, get back in boat, and power on to trailer until Drotto latch catches. Then I climb down steps, hook bow strap, step from the trailer to dry land, and pull the boat and the trailer away from the ramp.I highly recommend this product!

Buyer beware (Canadians), the shipping cost of the this is not $95 as stated in their ad! I ordered the product then had to pay an additional $63 CDN at the post office. So the $400 item now cost $550 including the shipping and duty. I contacted the seller to indicate that they should disclose this but I got a "Thanks" for coming out message back and they did not acknowledge the mis-advertising. Poor customer service!!!
