Warcolours Acrylic Starter Set (violet)

From the luxurious material of the dropper bottle to the actual performance of the paint, this is an impressive brand of paint.It doesn't use the same 'medium' as other popular brands such as GW Citadel, Vallejo, or P3 and instead uses a gel medium. It features a slightly extended dry time, (great for blending!) no non-sense naming, and opacity scale. No more guess work! My order arrived in 10 days, fast, considering it's shipped from overseas.Overall, I'm very pleased and will be in the process of building a collection of Warcolours!

There are only a few companies that approach the quality level of Warcolours acrylic paints. Those names being brands like Scale 75, Vallejo, Pro Acryl and Kimera. Yet Warcolours lives up to hype, the paints have a great opacity and smoothness. The gel medium might be hard for some to get used to since it causes paint to dry slower but those who wet blend will be overjoyed with the properties of this paint since it feels like it exists to wet blend.

I bought the flesh starter set, and I've been really pleased with the paint. It took a little while to get here from Europe, but it was a very worthwhile purchase, since this paint is not only inexpensive, but it's very smooth to work with. Furthermore, you can tell that these guys thought not only about the paint, but the bottles the paint comes in. I've bought paint over the internet, and had some of it leak out during delivery - not so with the cap on these bottles.

Very thin paints, so difficult to use as anything other than a wash (I'm painting miniatures). Bought the set of browns, though the product pictures are really confusing - a picture of the bottles and then a picture of a color palette that doesn't match the bottles. The picture of the bottles is apparently just a fabrication, as the bottles I received are a match for the palette picture. I really wanted some different lighter shades of brown (like the picture of the bottles) - the browns I got were dark, reddish, and just not attractive. I've been using the black to make a wash, just to try and use something from this kit. None of these browns are useful due to the truly ugly shades of brown they selected.

Bought these on Vince Venturella's recommendation. These are wonderful colors! And the consistency is great. I use the transparent warm grey (which is actually a rich, dark grey-brown) for all kinds of touch-ups and adding freehand detail. Will be ordering more colors! Highly recommend.

Amazingly smooth gel medium paints. Agitators in the bottles are a plus.
