Nice product from a good company.
Difficult to buy one on Amazon, as there are lots of them, many of which appear the same item at a wide range of prices. I bought this one because of the reasonable price, reasonable reviews and what seems to be a reasonable company. The company has been as good as one can been, the product works very, very well and seems to be well worth the cost they charge.I am using this to make sure the home RO system I have is working. Initial testing shows that the tap water here around 150 ppm, and the RO system water is around 10...so everything is working extremely well.I should note that while I normally an extremely concerned about accuracy, this is one case where that does not matter. If the unit varied even +/- 20% the results would still work for me (that is 8 - 12 variation). It would still indicate everything is working and a few numbers variation do not mean anything. The keys is that it works, and it does. Easy to read and temperature compensated. Temperature compensation is fairly important, as our tap water varies from summer to winter a huge amount (from in the 30's to well over 60"s) and that can have a much larger issue than accuracy.Don't know how long it will last, but so far am glad I got it.

Worked great. Used for drinking water and for testing aquarium water after adding Seachem Replenish to raise Gh
Our well water had nitrates of 80ppm, and total TDS of 300, pretty nasty, so we got a RO unit. Pre R/O, our TDS was 300 and after the RO unit it was at 10. We also are using this for our aquarium water before adding. So since the RO unit strips all the essential minerals fish need, we add Seachem Replenish to add them back and raise our GH. Guppies like harder Gh around 10-14, so I add 1 capful of Replenish to 2 gallons of water to achieve a Gh of 10. IF and ONLY IF you start out at 0-10 TDS, after adding 1 capful of replenish to bring your GH to 10, your TDS should be around 250. If you are not using Replenish, do not take your 250 TDS reading as meaning you have a GH of 10!!!! Completely different concepts there! But the pen works great. Very accurate and comes with batteries. Hasn't shorted out either like other pens.

Showing values which are self-evident
This device only measures total ions of light metal (I don't think heavy metal is not in the drinking water). So it shows a little bit high value when testing water through water softener. It shows extremely low value when testing bottled water. So, the bottled water can be said doubtful if this device shows very high value. If you want to see what ions of metal are in the water, you'd better get testers used by water department. At least, I found the water for lawn was passing through water softener with this device which was not supposed to be.

Easy to use, easy to read.
The TDS meter arrived as promised and in good shape.I use it in house to measure the rejection rate of reverse osmosis membrane. The TDS meter is easy to use and easy to read. Although for my application I don't need absolute numbers, the rejection rate (%) measured with the meter was in perfect agreement with the measurement taken by water company. I would highly recommend the TDS meter for this application.

Nice to have
Owned this for a few months before use. I find it simple to use, screen is easy to read, hold button is nice feature. It would be nice if it came with a chart or some guide lines for the numbers you obtain. Nice way to keep track of filters for replacement purposes. No need to replace if they are still functioning .

Thought at first it was wrong.
I was a little sceptical when this arrived as my RO water was reading 250! I thought there was something wrong with the meter so I went to my local water store that sells RO water and asked them if we could compare readings. To my surprise, both my meter and theirs read within one point of each other. (9-10) I got to work on my RO system and discovered I had a bad valve that needed replacement. Changed that and all the filters and am now happy with my reading of 12. Nice meter!

Water Quality Meter
I received the meter today and immediately began playing with it. First my filtered water from my frig. 35 PPM. Hmmm. Next my tap water - 38, 39 PPM. Perhaps That water filter in my frig does need to be changed. Next came Purified water from a bottle bought at the store. 3 PPM. Son of a gun.I said I began playing with it, right? I'll get serious later I am sure but in the meantime I think I need to see about changing the water filter on my frig.

Fonctionnement
D'apres moi il fonctionne tres bien.Mais quel est la différence entre un tester a 30$ et un tester a 250$.
