This target is better than most I have used over the years and certainly priced the best by far. All steel targets will pit no mater how far or how fast the bullet is traveling. Let us remember "every action has an equal and opposite reaction" so the energy to some degree is absorbed by the target. To limit energy transfer, mount the target on chains using anchor rodes on an enlarged saw horse - see attached picture. Happy shooting everyone!

The good, it showed up. The bad? Look at the picture. Don’t waist your money on this. It looks like a kids first project in shop class. Seriously, this is the quality you want to be known for?The $45.00 is not even worth the trouble of trying to return it.

Had the right one set up at 25 yards, and the left one at 400 yards. The right one as you can see from the picture took a beating using: 22, 9mm, 45, 5.7, 556, 300blk and 308. While the left one took 300 win mag rounds. They both held up pretty good. Perfect size for precision shooting also. Will most definitely buy again.

I have purchased several target gongs of different sizes over time. All were from different companies. This one however arrived looking like it had been pulled off of a shelf after sitting in a damp warehouse for a couple of years. A *NEW* gong should not arrive with rust so bad that it is scaling around the edges and pitted in other places. Although it was painted mostly orange, when we pulled it out of the box, it was in horrible condition. Our hands were covered in black, almost soot like gunk. Before we use this one we are going to have to remove the chalky paint and rust before reconditioning it. If you take care of your target gongs after using them they will last forever but you shouldn’t have to start out by stripping a brand new one.

Okay, I bought this for a friend. The box came a little destroyed but really who am I to judge when a practically 50lbs plate comes in a box in amazon. Not a big deal. Plus you are going to be shooting it. Definitely, worth the money, the best price you can find... and free shipping. Jesus. Amazing

Came heavily rusted, since I have grinders, etc, I can "fix" it, but I'm disappointed. It's the first plate from any company, and I have bought a lot of plates from various makers, that I have received rusted up like this.

All dimensions are accurate. Brinell tests accurate. Will STOP .308 TULA even though it's only 1/4in, although it takes damage. Handgun rounds other than my .454 didn't make a dent.Nice things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't nice. But sometimes you find an INEXPENSIVE product with solid quality. Buy this one with confidence.

Very happy with this. After putting hundreds of rounds on it I couldn’t be more pleased. Anything from .22lr , 9mm, 10mm to .44mag and 7.62x39. Not the first pit mark or damage. At 100m the Ak rounds put a slight ding in the steel, 44mag does the same at 15yds.
