Okay..!
They screwed up the shipping and this came to be 2 weeks late then i had expected...Not as bright as the original lamp but it does the trick for people who are not SUPER Picky... Good enough for regular use.

Probably wouldn't purchase again.
This bulb blew almost immediately after being installed in my projector fused itself into the projector. Thankfully, my husband was able to remove it and repair the projector! They did refund most of my purchase price (less a restocking fee which probably shouldn't have been charged since it was a faulty item). I don't think it is worth saving the money vs. OEM.

Works Great
This is the first time I've had to replace the lamp in my Panasonic PT-AE1000U projector. I was hesitant to purchase this lamp due to the negative reviews but I decided to order it anyway. The shipping packaging was excellent. The lamp is packed in a right-sized box lined with a shock absorbing material. The lamp arrived undamaged.Upon removal of the original lamp I noticed a difference between the two: the original lamp has a shield surrounding the actual bulb while the replacement lamp does not. I do not know the purpose of the shield other than possibly to prevent the electrical wires from directly touching the hot bulb.As of now the new lamp is working beautifully. If I experience any issues (blown bulb, short usage life, etc) I'll update this review. The following does not pertain to this lamp per se as much as it does the projector itself. However, Panasonic's lamp replacement instructions can impact the life of the lamp as well as the projector itself. When replacing the lamp Panasonic states that the air filter should be cleaned or replaced. A dirty filter can restrict the required air flow resulting in the projector not being able to cool to specifications. With as hot as projector bulbs get you definitely don't want a dirty air filter making the situation worse.I cleaned my air filter rather than replacing it. Accessing the filter was very easy. Panasonic says the filter should be vacuumed. I did that and the filter became noticeably cleaner. Because of this I chose not to replace the filter. Panasonic says to NEVER use water to clean the filter.Another thing to remember when replacing the lamp is to reset the projector's lamp life usage counter. This may or not be true of all Panasonic models but mine says that once the counter reaches 2000 hours the projector will continually turn itself off after 10 minutes of use.

Failed after only 200 hours
I tried this lamp hoping to save some money, but it did not work out. This projector lamp burned out after only 6 months and about 200 hours of use. It was made in china and the quality control and materials are inferior. Since I got only 200 hours from the lamp instead of the 2000 hours from a Panasonic OEM lamp, the cost of using these lamps would be $610 at the current price. I am going to stick with the factory lamps from now on regardless of the cost.

Not worth the money
I bought this bulb to replace my burned out oem bulb. this bulb lasted approximately 4 months (less than 500 hours). the oem bulb lasted 5 years (around 1800 hours). also, one of the screws that came with lamp was too short. 2 weeks into using this bulb, the warning light my pt 2000u projector came on. this bulb was terrible.

Not Very Bright
The only reason I purchased this replacement lamp was because my projector started notifying me that my original lamp was nearing its end of life. This old lamp had 1830 hours on it and was noticeably dimmer. After installing this new lamp I purchased from Amazon, I could not tell the difference between the old lamp and the new! The new lamp just does not have the output brightness that it should have, and it was a complete waste to purchase and install this new lamp.

Perfect
I was very concerned when the lamp went out in my projector. I thought it would cost an arm and a leg to replace...plus, it would be difficult to install. Nope, to all of that! Great price! The instructions were very helpful...and I was up and running again in about 20 minutes.
