I consider the Grr-Ripper to be the most essential safety tool in my shop and no other tool is used more . The handle bridge kit raises the height of the handle less than a inch higher than what it normally is giving an advantage in leverage when pushing the block through the saw reducing how much the user must reach when finishing the cutWhile I do like it and will use it ,weather or not is necessary will be dependent on the user preferenceFor a taller person (6ft +) I’d say don’t bother as they probably will see no need but for a shorter person the added height on the handle could prove helpful is maintaining safe control through the cut

The gripper is a great device for keeping your hand away from the blade while making rip cuts on a table saw. For longer boards greater than 16 inches having two is necessary. If you add the bridge handle kit and connector, you can connect two grippers together and cut both wider and longer boards. They're a bit pricey though, but consider the cost of potentially having to require surgery to replace your fingers.

I purchased two of these Handle Bridge Sets, one for each of the two Grippers I have.This attachment makes sense IE: more points of contact over a wider foot print provides more control. The difference is not noticeable when using it though.I also have their 1/8" side leg adapter for cutting thin strips of wood with the Gripper push tool. In my experience that 1/8" side leg adapter works better without this Handle Bridge Set installed on the Gripper so I remove it when I am cutting thin strips with the 1/8" side leg. Having to remove and reinstall this when cutting thin strips is why I did not give this product a five star rating.

This should be included on all gripper models not as an add on. The grip angle is an important feature. Quality and materials is same as the gripper.

HANDLE INSTALLS EASILY ONTO YOU GRR-RIPPER and allows one to push with evenly distributed force down onto gripper and toward the table saw fence. Wish it came with each GRR-Ripper and not an accessory.

Good Product

The description was spot on. With the included instructions it was very easy to install on my GRR-Ripper. The addition of the Handle Bridge it puts my hand in a more comfortable, and I feel safer, position while operating my table saw.Microjig is a fantastic company to purchase from and has excellent customer service!!
