Uchida Corru-Gator Paper Crimper 8.5"-Diamond

I received this in the mail last night. The crimper is different than the regular straight lined crimpers. I like it so far. Its sturdy and heavy enough to make an impact on the paper you use. Its not cheap and flimsy.

I have 4 different designs on the Uchida Corrugator paper crimpers and I like them all. They are sturdy enough for cardstock or paper and they are built to last. The designs of each crimper add 3D details to cards, scrapbook pages or other paper crafts. I like that they will take paper up to 8.5" wide. That gives a lot of flexibility of use. Highly recommend.

I wasn't sure if I would like this particular impression that the crimper makes but it turns out that I love it instead. I own the standard one and have used it for years. This is a plus for any crafter to add to their tools and is as easy to use as the line crimper but with the bonus of diamond crimping instead.

Hi, I just opened my package after having a busy schedule only to discovered it was scratched and broken. It obviously has a deffect the rollers are not even.

Produces crisp detailed pattern on cardstock. Compared to another crimper I own made by a different company, the Uchida is well made and very easy to use. The carstock once inserted remain in place and crimp lines are aligned. I intend to purchase other crimpers with different patterns.

The impression is not as deep as I would like. I used standard weight cardstock and the impression was visible, but not strong. It seems that the rollers need to have a deeper pattern cut into them.

Worked well built well, but the price is ridiculous – decided to return.

I love their products easy to use

Ich habe schon viele Prägefolder, die ich durch meine BigShot kurbeln kann. Allerdings ist mein größter Folder "nur" ca. 14x14 cm groß - manchmal hat man auch größere Sachen, die man gerne prägen möchte. OK, das Teil nimmt schon ordentlich Platz ein. Und die Anwendung ist um einiges komplizierter. Besonders das Einlegen des Blattes. Dafür kann man aber durchaus auch mal eine A4-Seite prägen ohne zu stückeln. Ich kann auch unformatige Einleger oder Aufleger für Karten prägen und bin nicht auf die Standard-Formate angewiesen. Das ist ein großer Vorteil. Zur Anwendung: Am Besten legt man den Crimper mit dem Griff auf sich gerichtet vor sich auf den Tisch. Dann öffnet man das Teil (in die Öffnung im Griff greifen und das Teil aufklappen | geht anfangs schwer), legt das Blatt von oben hinein und dreht einmal kurz am Rädchen. Dann schließt man das Teil wieder und kann das Blatt ganz oder teilweise durchdrehen. Ich habe das mit 80g-Papier versucht und es hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Lustig fand ich meinen Versuch mit 400g-Karton: Da war das Geprägte am Rand sehr stark sichtbar - zur Mitte hin wurde das aber immer weniger und in der Mitte selbst blieb der Karton glatt. Das komplizierte Einfädeln und dass es bei stärkerem Papier nur außen genug Druck aufbaut (wobei man genau so etwas auch gut nutzen kann, sieht auf jeden Fall gut aus und auch gleichmäßig) bringt zusammen einen Stern Abzug. Die anderen Motive kaufe ich mir nach und nach auch noch.

Easy to use but it only works on thin paper and doesn’t work on photo glossy paper. Disappointed as it doesn’t say what it works on but by the directions on the case which is hard to see! It should work on anything.

Es importante revisar el tipo de corrugadora que elegimos. Yo la pedí por error, al final me di cuenta que necesitaba la recta u ondulada para las chips bag. Fuera de eso es de muy buena calidad, buen material y tamaño
