Kinkajou Premium Kit-Arizona

I have been cutting or should I say trying to cut bottle for a couple of years. I own four other glass cutting/scoring kits..this one is by far the best. I got a perfect score first bottle (I have had practice with others so I had a general idea of what to do or Moe importantly not do) Bottle separated nice straight and smooth. I am very excited to do more.It shipped to me super fast. I ordered it Sunday morning and it was at my house when I got home Tuesday, I was not even considering it being there until the weekend..what a great surprise! Lots of great things in the box...plenty of sand paper for finishing and stencils and paint, sounds like fun...Great product!! Something that does what it promises...thank you!

This product is AWESOME, does exactly what it says it is going to do! Like they say practice makes perfect this is not a DIY for people looking to get things done EASILY it is difficult and it take mastery of the kinkajou to make it work properly the BF and I tried it out on different bottle types and different heating and cooling methods it is safe to say that the only effective way to heat the glass is a slow pour over the score line. It is going to be an awesome addition to our DIY gifts that we are always giving people.... I hate buying things when personiled stuff is so much more meaningful and this is going to help with the glass lovers in our life!

Took a little time to get it right but once I got it it works great I tried many other ways with not much success also found a wooden vice to hold the cutter witch works good but the best way for me using my knee as braes woks the best reg

This product is not a "bottle cutter". As the enclosed directions state in the first paragraph, it is a SCORE tool for glass. If you follow the directions to the letter you will throw this tool in the garbage after the first frustrating hour of using it.You need to score the bottle then pour hot water then cold water until it separates.The tool does not provide stability when using so the score will never be straight. The directions say to only score around the bottle once and then pour the water over it a few times. I was able to get one wine bottle to separate after scoring a few times (crooked) and dipping back and forth for 30 minutes.The You Tube video that shows it taking about 5 minutes is baloney. The beer bottle he used was definitely thinner than most wine bottles.I would not recommend this tool for anyone who wants to create a wine bottle craft.

I have used many other bottle cutters in the past and this is by far the best and easiest. Straight perfect cuts every time. I got the best results with glass cutting oil, though the oil made it slightly harder to get a straight line as the kinkajou wanted to slip down the bottle while turning. Allover a great product and has helped make TONS of Christmas, birthday, anniversary gifts that people always think are so cool and original!!

Bought this as a gift for a guy who has everything. It took a couple of tries, but now he's a pro at creating drinking glasses out of his favorite bottles.Have a wine/beer/liquor connoisseur in your life? I definitely recommend this as a "something different" gift!And, not only can you gift it, but after they cut the bottles, they can "re-gift" in the form of drinking glasses to their friends!

I used to use one of those traditional cutters where you roll the bottle on a cutter jig and had mixed results because the glass doesn't always separate correctly and it is difficult to roll the bottle and make a good score. I thought this would solve the scoring difficulty and make it much faster, but instead it just created a new problem. The unit seldom makes a straight cut despite weeks and dozens of bottles worth of tweaking. All you can do is turn it and hope for the best, meanwhile the vast majority of bottles get wasted before you even try to separate it. The separation ties are also no help, should you be lucky enough to get that far. If they are too tight, the glass will fracture as it separates under the stress; if they are too loose they will be completely superfluous and just get in your way.

Hard to use, tried upwards of 15 bottles....none of cut in a straight line. Watched several YouTube videos to help/for hints, nothing seems to be working. I'll continue to try, but not all that impressed based on the $$.
