Does this include all the gears in the deluxe spirograph set as well, or should I purchase both sets to have all the gears?

Do the spiro-track pieces have holes in them, that allow you to use pins to secure them to cardboard? (I like pins better than the new putty.)

I think you'd have to use the holes meant for the pens. For example you can pin a wheel down and use a ring to draw around it instead of the wheel inside the ring.

Do you still have to pin?

There is another option that I use with Wild Gears, but should also work with Spirograph: a steel sheet and neodymium magnets. The steel sheet is only a few dollars here on Amazon. You can find neodymium magnets from various places. Just be sure to get ones that fit within the width of the ring.
