Would this efficiently remove smoke in the home from forest fires?

I have not used ours for that purpose, but considering how well it works to remove the smell and smoke from burning something in- oven, I would elect it to work great

My new dual protection filter, has a chemical smell; I return it, now I still need a filter. Are all the dual protection filters have this smell ?
