The handcrafted Dual Watch Winder box keeps your automatic timepieces wound and ready to wear when you need them. Comparable watch winder boxes sell for well over $750 in fine retail jewelry stores. Now you can have one of the finest handcrafted automatic watch boxes at a fraction of the cost. Each case is handcrafted of rich, cherry stained oak hardwood veneer with 8 layers of high-gloss piano lacquer. Then each layer of lacquer is allowed to cure for 3 days before being sanded and polished by hand. The interior is lined with smooth cream faux calf-hide. Likewise for the padded watch holders nestled in dual turntables. A bottom drawer adorned with a polished brass knob pulls out to reveal 7 more watch compartments and one jewelry compartment for cufflinks and rings. The high quality materials and craftsmanship that goes into each and every box is certain to compliment the finest timepieces in your collection. It's not enough to just have a watch case for our finest jewelry. Today's most extravagant timepieces come equipped with automatic movement. That means they never need batteries and never need to be wound by hand. They're powered by the kinetic movement of your body when you wear them. But what if you have different watches for different occasions? Chances are some will stop from extended periods of non-use. Our specially designed automatic winding case will keep your favorite watches wound and ready for when you need them. A silent motor keeps the watches moving on dual turntables. The case is handcrafted of lacquered hardwood veneer. Eight layers of high-gloss lacquer are applied, with each layer of lacquer allowed to cure for three days before being sanded and polished by hand. The entire process requires nearly 30 days, creating a high-gloss piano finish. The interior is lined with smooth cream faux calf-hide. A bottom drawer adorned with a polished brass knob pulls out to reveal more compartments for watches, cufflinks and rings. Choose from four models: Cherrywood with dual watch winders; Cherrywood with dual watch winders with direction reversing capability and intermittent timer; Black lacquer with dual watch winders able to hold four watches with direction reversing capability and intermittent timer; and Cherrywood quad with dual watch winders. Simply stated, these are the watch cases no discerning timepiece collector should be without.

Avoid buying a poorly made product.
I concur with the 1 star reviews.Looks just fine, but winding mechanisms are porky made, get louder each quarter, and due.No customer service. No return phone calls. If you have a watch worth keeping, best you buy a WOLF and be thankful you won’t have to deal with Steinhausen.

Works Well Enough
I have owned this since about 2007. My unit is still running, I can't say I've had any real problems. Yes it makes noise. It isn't silent but I can't say that it bothers me. I change my watches every day, so after 6 years of use, the pillow boxes are pretty worn out. In fact very worn out and I need to replace. I would have expected better in that regard. For what I paid back than (I believe it was in the mid-200's but I can't really remember), I'm happy enough with the purchase.

Won't Last
Purchased this unit and it worked for about a year. It looks better than it performs. If you really want a reliable watch winder -- look elsewhere and don't focus too much on looks.

Seemed great at first
I gave this watch winder to my husband this Chistmas past. At first it was great, quiet, smooth. It's now February 1st. The thing spooks me at night as it's become progressively louder and sounds as if the motor is straining. I am going to check the warranty. Having no expereince with watch winders, I don't know if this issue is common. But I did some research before the purchase and had found good feeback on this brand. So best of luck!

Great Item if know how to use
This is a great item. Some people are saying it doesn't work. You have four options in how to wind your watch. You can change the frequency the watch winds. Also, if you're watch requires a lot of movement to wind, this may not work. If you get your weight oiled in your watch you should have no worries. Great product, but a bit too large for a studio apartment.

Well...one winder still works
Worked well for a few years but now the right winder is not rotating...and no the switch is not turned off in the back. The other complaint i had is that on mine, the pillows (or whatever you call the) would fall out of the slots because they weren't snug enough. I had to put some cardboard in there to hold the watch in place
