Think Crucial 2 Replacements for Hunter 30930 Air Purifier Filter, Fits 30200, 30201, 30205, 30250, 30253, 30255, 30256, 30350, 30374, 30375, 30377, 30380, 30390, 37255 and 37375

I ordered 4 of these for my old Hunter Hepa air purifiers (model 30201 and 307378) assuming that they're true HEPA filter replacements for 30930 filter part. Unfortunately while these seem to be decent inexpensive high efficiency filters, they don't seem to be the genuine HEPA that filters 99.7% of allergens and the packaging lacks any mention of it. I'm OK with using these for my older Hunter air purifiers for inexpensive air purification while I unfortunately can't even seem to find the OEM filter replacement these days. However, you might want to be aware of this if you're a true allergy sufferer like my husband who reacts violently to virtually all allergens known, except thankfully to our cat and dogs. I ended up ordering a newer higher capacity Honeywell air purifier for him for the main living space for a true-HEPA filtration while the older devices assist in peripheral rooms. I just wish the company was more transparent with the product and state the purification efficiency level with an appropriate/equivalent Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR), MERV, or filtering percentage info that I can't seem to locate anywhere.

We purchased these filters to replace the name brand filters we had been purchasing from a national chain home improvement store. Obviously quality is a big concern when purchasing an aftermarket product and especially so with filtration products. While I'm not an HVAC technician and have not had any lab tests done on this product, my perception so far is that the filters as good if not better than the OEM products we've purchased in the past. Each filter in this two pack comes packaged in its own individual box wrapped in plastic allowing the activated carbon layer to remain "fresh" until use. I noticed an immediate difference in the quality of the air being discharged from my filter, it helped the room smell fresh and clean again.Bottom Line: We will purchase these filters again and would recommend this brand of filters to our family and friends.

This Crucial filter is a few dollars less expensive than the Hunter replacements but, it is a very tight fit. The frame seems to be a little bit thicker than the originals. At least mine was. I had a hard time closing the cover and, after installing it, the unit would not turn on. I had to take the filter out and press the filter edges in a little bit to make it fit better until the unit turned on.This filter is a charcoal filter, which means it takes care of odors but, I'm not at all sure it is a HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter. There is nothing on the packaging or on the manufacturer's web site description of the product to indicate it is. Usually, manufacturers are very eager and proud to advertise their product as HEPA. Crucial doesn't say a word about it. Great value and virtually identical in every way to the original ones. Has activated-carbon prefilter, and very dense filter (HEPA) for the finest of debris and bacteria.Couldn't ask for better. I have two identical Hunter fans so this was a perfect purchase for them. At $27 for the pair, it works out to a little over $13 per filter.. Not bad at all.
