Good quality and half the $$ of OEM
If your John Deere tractor is blowing a lot of smoke and it has a Briggs & Stratton engine, I can guarantee you the head gasket is bad in between the piston and the valves. It is a well-known issue and if you search on YouTube there are plenty of videos explaining how to change it. There are no special tricks or tools that you need. The only part of the job that you need to pay attention is the push rods. One of them is steel and one of them is aluminum so make a note which one is on top when you remove them. You will know because the steel is significantly heavier.I have a lot of experience working on motors but I promise you this is an extremely easy job for anyone with common sense to fix.. Even if you had no tools, you could buy the tools and do the job for less aggravation and money then it would cost to pay someone. All you need is a socket set with an extension, a few screwdrivers, a flat razor to scrape off the old gasket. Now as far as the products go, they were good quality. In my opinion they were not as nice as the OEM head gasket but i was confident in them and I’ve had no problems since installing them three months ago. My friend has the same tractor with the same problem and I just had him order these gaskets as well.

Set is good but intake bolt holes wrong.
The set was correct for my 311707 motor but the bolt holes for the intake gasket were too close together. I had to remove some material (see picture) to allow the bolts to pass through. Still worked fine.

Works well
I have not had these installed long but they worked for the first 10 hours. I am not all that mechanical, this is by far the most mechanical thing I have done, but it wasn't that hard. Just check out some videos on youtube they show how really well. Unfortunately time won't tell how good they are. I have a John Deere D100 and they apparently go through these in 50-60 hours. So much for nothing runs like Deere. Saved a lot of money doing it myself though and it felt good being able to.

Comes with two head gaskets, common problem with this motor
The head gasket kit was great. At first I thought I screwed up my installing it wrong, but luckily it came with two head gaskets and the other one actually worked also. My real problem was the dipstick hit the flywheel and sprayed oil everywhere. The mower has been running great ever since I installed this kit. The head gasket definitely was blown out anyways so I'm glad I got it. This is a flaw with this motor.

Parts needed, arrived with no shipping damages
Replaced head gasket on a rising lawn mower project I'm working on. Parts came in with heavy cardboard backing to prevent shipping damage.
