Our putty is suited for those looking to build strength, slow grip-strength loss related to aging, looking for relief from arthritis pain associated with repetitive motion injury, for carpal tunnel pain, or those recovering from surgery. Also useful for sensory therapy, as a tool for ADD and ADHD sufferers, and for stress relief. Choose from 2 oz, 3 oz, 4 oz, 16 oz, and 80 oz (clinical) sizes. Humactive brand putty colors do not bleed and maintain resistance use after use.

I use it at my desk at work. I'm hoping the exercise prevents RSI from computer work. I thought putty would be better than those spring things since it can exercise the fingers individually with more natural motions. It's great when I'm reading documentation and stuff -- takes no thought and I don't annoy coworkers like those pen spinner people.I started with purple and blue strength and now on gray. I think they weaken over time and use, so I might buy gray again although I wish they made harder ones. My left hand is pretty strong now haha. I had bought another brand in a medium strength a while back, and over time it weakened enough to become almost gum like sticky and unusable. Anyway you should probably replace periodically since the putty will collect dirt and fibers from your clothes.

A bit sticky
I am an Occupational Therapist and bought this for one of my patients. It's pretty good at not sticking to hard surfaces and most clothing, but be careful around carpet! It can be sticky.

Good quality as the clinic PT/OT stuff
My occupational therapist used this in our therapy session. recommended the orange colored medium soft. I had a tendon slip off the index knuckle so used to gain strength. This was the same quality and firmness of what was used in the office/clinic. Overall happy with the product. My desk at home is a wood laminate and it does not leave stains or oil spots.

This putty is amazing. It has the right amount of firmness for my son as he works on building muscle tone in his hand. The color is his favorite which is a plus also. He is able to use this daily since it is not sticky. When the putty is left on the furniture it does not stain the fabric either, which is a plus in our house.

Good stuff.
This is the way to buy hand putty. One pound chunks allow for far more varied routines of hand exercise. The putty is somewhat oily - I usually end up washing my hands after using it. It's not at all unpleasant - just don't want to have the oil end up on everything I touch afterwards. After nearly daily use, this putty is standing up to the abuse. Good stuff.

Good tool for life-hackers
I used this putty to make my left hand more powerful than my right hand because I'm into life-hacking. Almost gave the putty 1 star because my left hand is twice as shredded now as my right but that wouldn't be fair because I brought this on myself. The putty is good if you want to life-hack your left hand. Have not tested on the right.

This is good for what I bought it for - exercise after hand surgery. It was, however, a bit too tough for me to work but that's not the putty's fault. It wasn't greasy or anything. My only complaint is it came crushed in shipping.

Great for little hands!
I purchased this putty to use in my kindergarten classroom to help with fine motor development. I hide beads in the putty and students dig them out. They love it! They enjoy testing out the different colors and discovering that some are much more difficult to work with than others. I would highly recommendthis product!
